CL EXCLUSIVE VIDEO: DIDDY SPEAKS W/ ANGEL ON iCHAT ABOUT UPCOMING DIRTY MONEY TOUR, HAWAII FIVE-0 & MORE!

March 2nd, 2011

Sean “Diddy” Combs sat down with Concrete Loop’s Angel Laws via an iChat interview on Tuesday night to discuss the upcoming ‘Coming Home’ tour with Dawn Richard & Kalenna Harper of Dirty Money, his new acting gig and more! After some technical difficulties in the beginning of the video flows rather smoothly.

The media mogul is currently in Hawaii gearing up for an appearance on popular television series, Hawaii Five-O, where he is playing a government agent! Check out some snippets from the exclusive sit down below.

On Dawn & Kaleena getting solo music:
Both of them will have solo projects. I kinda encourage all my groups to get on their grind and their hustle. This whole project is a stepping stone for the both of them. Vocally, they are definitely two of the best vocalists I’ve ever worked with.

On Navy Seal training:
You know there is nothing worse than seeing us in films and we holding out the gun like Taye Diggs. You know that’s real fly for Menace II Society or if that’s what you’re portraying but I’m playing an FBI agent. So I wanted to make sure I technically looked right, so I went to Navy Seal training today at the range and just trying to get everything down pact.

On the upcoming tour:
Last Train To Paris has a cult following and we wanted to really connect with those fans first. And another thing it’s about coming home. So it’s about taking it down to the basics and letting people feel you; up close and personally.

    UGH SMH

Congrats to the group, I wont attend the show but the album is great but a question to diddy: why can’t you still make at least one single or album entirely by your damn self, especially after all these years in the game? also he must not know about vocalists cause, as much as I appreciate Kaleena and Dawn, they aint no damn vocalists, they can sing yes, vocalists? no!

“You know there is nothing worse than seeing us in films and we holding out the gun like Taye Diggs.” — Every movie i’ve seen Taye in ( when he is actually holding a gun – ‘Basic’,'Equilibrium’) he looked just fine to me .

I can’t see Kaleena & Dawn going anywhere as far as having a career with longevity. Then again, his artists seem to be cursed in that way. Good interview though. But why does it look like your eyes are closed throughout this video? lol

    Honestly

To be honest, I can’t stand Diddy, but that Last Train to Paris cd is on point. I really like it! I have to attribute it to the girls in the group that add in very nicely, although I would have liked to have heard more of them on the album, but hey…

I also have to admit that at first I didn’t know that either of the girls were really hardcore singers, although I thought they were talented women, but then I saw some video with Dawn just straight singing, no adlibs and effects and the chick was killing it!! I was really impressed with her vocal range and ability. She might actually have a decent shot solo. I wish both of the girls a lot of success.

One last note, I am also going to admit that I enjoy watching Dirty Money live, because the shows are really full of energy and visually stimulating…it might be a decent tour *shrug*

Diddy might be horrible at rapping and dancing, but his hustle is ON POINT! LTTP is a GOOD cd! It’s different and it puts you in a good mood. Though, I will not be attending the concert. lol.

diddy is soooo lame. his hairline’s pushed ALL the way back. @ kristina i agree we will not even remember them (dawn and kalenna) in two years. I like dawn and she should not sign with diddy for a solo project. shes gonna end up like day 26. 26 mins of fame and a bus pass home.

    Diddy;

Heard you want a wife like “Beyonce” well its only one Beyonce, and she is not perfect herself.

Beyonce is a very selfish wife to me. Just think Jay-Z is older and wants to have kids. What wife will deny her husband a chance at fatherhood considering he is ready and his age. I thought marriage was about “sharing”.

So, Diddy be happy for what you have. Jay-Z might appears to have everything, but he wants to be a father and Bee selfish self don’t want to be bothered. I feel sorry for Jay-Z. He has all the material wealth, but the one thing he wants most is to be a father and his selfish wife can’t grant him that wish.

If he were to die today, no children to carry on his legacy. And no I’m not wishing him to die. I’m just saying. At least Diddy you have your kids; you get to spend time with your kids and enjoy them at a younger age. Jay-Z will be a 50 year old first time Dad. SMH!

So, please get over your you want a wife like Beyonce. She might be a great entertainer, but she sucks as a wife on some level.

I see Beyoncé has controlled your mind, a damn paragrph on how ignorant you are, I mean, really? Do you personally know Bey and Jay? Will you help them raising the kids? Isnt Bey just 29 years old? Did Jay tell you he wants kids now? WASNT HE ALREADY IN HIS THIRTIES WITHOUT KIDS WHEN HE MET BEY? Dont you think they discussed this way before marriage? SMH.
