This year’s honorees included Sean “Diddy” Combs (Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Bad Boy Entertainment Group), Ingrid Saunders Jones (Senior Vice President, The Coca-Cola Company), and Joseph R. Perella (Founding Partner, Chairman and CEO of Perella Weinberg Partners) for their charitable and philanthropic contributions and innovation in the music, fashion and financial arenas, respectively.
For the 37th year, the star-studded Gala paid tribute to those who embody the humanitarian ideals of Jackie Robinson and who helped raise money for the Foundation’s premiere minority scholarship and mentoring program. This 2010-2011 academic year, JRF provided generous financial aid and program support to 220 Jackie Robinson Foundation Scholars representing 31 states and the District of Columbia and enrolled in 92 different colleges and universities across the country.

Diddy’s Mom is a classic case of what Nigerians would call “money miss road,” meaning that the money she has fell in the wrong hands. If I were her son, I would tell her to cover up because from her overly revealing outfits to her fur coats and blond hair, she never looks respectable to me.
For a woman who had enough common sense and foresight to work hard to see her child achieve his dreams, the way she carries herself does not do justice to the image I’d expect her to have.
Each time she appears in photographs, it’s an even worse faux pas than the last. I don’t know why I am typing all this because she probably doesn’t care. I bet she’s heard the criticisms, but gosh I’d be so embarrased if she were my mother. But then again, for someone like Diddy who has no proper moral compass or sense of good judgment, from the way he carries himself spreading his seed everywhere to myopic women dying for a child support check, his mother must be dressed like Michelle Obama in his eyes.
