As promised, Kelly Rowland offers us a brand new single, “Motivation,” featuring Lil’ Wayne. The track is the latest offering from her third studio album, which is still presently untitled.
The track is produced by Jim Jonsin and written by Rico Love, with whom Rowland worked with on the previous dance material she worked on. She also stated via her Twitter that the album currently has no release date.

Maybe i’m listening to a totally different song. I think this song is very unentertaining. This definitely shouldn’t be a single. Maybe it should be cut shorter to be an interlude on an album. I can understand where the lyrics are trying to say, but the song lacks intensity. Ya’ll can say what you want, but this song won’t be going too far on any charts.

Kelly has one of the most beautiful and powerful voices of this generation! Her voice is so smooth, clear, warm, light, but strong. Her vocals sound great on this track, but this song sucks and I am sick and tired of blacks saying that this is a hit. Yeah, to blacks it’s a hit because our people want to hear that ghetto, generic, R&B/Hip-Hop sound, but this track isn’t going to get her anywhere! Wasn’t y’all the same ones who praised CERROR’s and Skeri’s music? Look at where it got them… flopping singles and albums. There was nothing wrong with her “Commander” and “Forever and a Day” sound. If she’s smart, she will release this mess on urban radio, but come hard with another electronic joint. I hate how electronic-pop has taken over, but Kelly does it differently and it actually suits her voice and style. I love Kelly and always wanted her to succeed, but got tired of her mess-ups, but I do hope that this single does well and her other pop singles that she’ll be releasing.
