Keri Hilson hit up BET’s 106 & Park to premiere her new Colin Tilley-directed video for her latest single, the Chris Brown-assisted, “One Night Stand.” The track is lifted from Keri’s sophomore album, No Boys Allowed, in stores now. Chris Brown’s new album, F.A.M.E. also freshly hit stores this week.
Lil’ Wayne offers up his own version of the the boss, Rick Ross’s track, “I’m Not A Star,” produced by J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League from his latest effort, Teflon Don. Oddly enough, although we’ve heard the track, Lil’ Wayne has lifted this track as the official second single from his project.
Lil’ Wayne is still working on his upcoming ninth studio album, The Carter IV, which is slated for release May 16th.
MEET SPREE WILSON. The guitarist/songwriter/rapper/singer has been making waves in the indie scene for awhile now. Initially discovered by Q-Tip & Dallas Austin, a lot of people say he sounds like a mix between Seal, Andre 3000 and Gnarles Barkley.
After of months of finalizing tracks, Spree has finally announced the release date for his free online album, The Never Ending Now (dropping on April 5). The 14 song project is a complete expression of Spree’s diverse musical pallet and coming of age and chronicles his beginning years in Nashville, his musical schooling of Atlanta, and lastly, going from being a homeless artist to securing a major record deal (Jive/RCA Records) in NYC.
