‘ROUND THE WAY: BEYONCE TO RELEASE NEW SINGLE NEXT MONTH?

March 7th, 2011

It’s been a minute since we’ve heard anything from international superstar, Beyoncé but some information from sources close to the project say that she will release a brand new single at the end of April, to launch her fourth solo studio album.

According to our friends at BeyonceWorld.net, a fan got a chance to talk with producer Shea Taylor, who worked with Beyoncé previously on her B’Day album. It seems as though he’ll be working on this new project, dropping little hints about the sound and also some collaborations.

Taylor gushed that the new album will have a pop and R&B direction, with lots of live instrumentation, with a modernized ’80′s feel. Shea described the new sound of the album as “Michael Jackson’s music during his prime.” He also said that she will have a collaboration with Kanye West. He said to expect a huge single at the end of April.

@stlopinion is a phuckin fool, always rushing giving bad comments without thinking, bey is not a popcorn bubble gum artist, and there is no such thing out now, those who know real music know her worth. This is why she gets respect from both her peers and all the legends. Just because she has uptempos dont mean they lack quality. the 3 albums, arent they all best contemporary r&b album grammy winners?

Just because you win a fuckin grammy doesnt mean NOTHING in reality some of the best music that probably wayyy better then i am an bday dont get a grammy gimme a break an stick your head outta beyonce ass for a minute! an im not givin bad comment im placing MY OPINION an yes really they both were just average beyonce is a damn good performer an wonderful vocalist but yall overrate her her music holds no value what so ever her music isnt legend material years from now based off what beyonce have out now dont argue just accept none of her music has longivity they just good for RIGHT NOW only stuff w/ longevity is off the dangerously in love album lik i said before was her best album #thatsall

I agree last 2 albums were garbage unless u are a fan of pop which I am not, if I purchase a cd from the r&b section can I at least get one r&b track? Hands down she has an amazing voice but her music isn’t that great if we are calling it r&b

Lol B stans seriously these pop songs she released on the last two albums were trash. Why you think she released them so close together? Cause it won’t last. None of them were classic songs. You couldn’t even compare the last two albums to her first album

Kelly had a whole year to do something without Beyonce likse she’s the reason why she doesn’t have success, like Commander failing on the charts, Grown Woman failing on the charts, like Forever in a Day failing on the charts, like Rose Colored Glass failing on the charts or Kelly pushing back her album again or her lack of promo Beyonce didn’t have anything to do with that.

“Michael Jackson’s music during his prime.” I’m getting sick of people using this man’s name for hype. His stuff will NEVER be redone, EVER! Anyway, about Beyonce. I really hope her new material is groundbreaking, original, and fresh. I felt her last project was a bit too commercial and less about the content to the point where it was overbearing. I hope the album isn’t split into 2 halves, has more than 10 songs on it, and has more of an urban/dance feel. A lot of artists are using this 80s revamp sound, I just hope it’s different. I hope she stays away from Dream and Tricky. I’m being critical, but I just really want something wowing, and not copied. Beyonce is definately a grand entertainer, but not everthing she has put out has been good. I may be the only one who actually liked BDay. It wasn’t perfect, but it was really funky, wild driven, and had a lot of classic elements rolled into one. Something similar to that sound would even be fun.

I dont agree with you. First of all, deja vu did sound like an MJ track (off the wall album). Beyoncé never had a bad single, everything she puts out is great for what it stands for. Also you calling her last album a bit too commercial is not a fact. The whole I am side, personal, relaxing and deep, is far from commercial, and excepting single ladies, diva and video phone, the rest of the album is def not commercial, especially when you compare to what we hear on the radio. Groundbreaking or not, Beyonce will do and be beyoncé, dream or tricky (they gave her the song of the year and we all know how far single ladies went) are gonna bring their A game with her. She will not disappoint.

I agree! Ashanti and Monica are the only two who maintain the R&B vibe. Beyonce is a black Britney Spears to me. Her last two albums were pop! Which is fine, being black doesn’t mean you enjoy R&B. But I need one of the two I mention to come out with an album… Letoya to! Get some good music out for 2011!

Beyonce last album was her best vocally and probably lyrically. Well, up until the sasha fierce side. for those that say it was over commercialized, i don’t think so. The “I Am” side of the album was a huge risk. It was really slow and different than what she normally does.

Anyhow, I can’t wait to see what she brings out. I know its going to be good as long as her voice is on it.

@Say What-how in the world does Deja Vu sound like an MJ track? Even though that is my favorite Bey song, I just don’t see that. Single Ladies only went as far as it did because of the video, and that is a known fact. I remember when concreteloop posted both Single Ladies and If I Were A Boy the same dame back in October 2008 and it got mixed reviews……until the video, and the rest is history. And when you mentioned her last album, you kinda proved part of my point of how it wasn’t her best album-you favored side A-I did too, excepting the rest. Only thing is Side A wasn’t considered a complete album. I know regardless of how I feel, it will sell, just like Rihanna, Gaga, or Katy, because she is a popular artist. When it comes to my favorite artists, I get critical because just like many, I have followed her since day one.

If you think deja vu & its instrumentations dont sound like early MJ during the Off The Wall time, then Ima need you to buy all MJ’s collection during that time. Then you might see. Single Ladies went as far as it did because it is an amazing song first of all, which had an a brilliant video to support & back it up. The commentators on Concrete Loop are not professionals, a bunch of complaining people who can’t wait to bash artists like they know how it’s done. Professionals like Rolling Stone, Pitchfork Media, LA Times, The New Observer and such gave all positive reviews, it was Rolling Stones Best song of 2008, it went to #1 on the Hot 100 and received many ‘best song’ nominations and wins, including the Grammy Award for ‘song of the year’. I do not think the professionals and Academy look at a video for that. When a song is great, it is great. Period.

I did not favored the A side of the album, I answered to you saying the whole album is commercial while there are 4 tracks for me that are fully commercial. Clearly A side is full of slow songs and ballads, not very commercial; In B-side, Ego, Video Phone, Scared Of Lonely, Hello, Why Dont You Love Me, are not commercial songs made to top the hot 100, the type is pure R&B and the lyrics contents are not that appealing to get enough airplay and she knows it (but seems to not care hence why Video Phone and Ego were released); Only Single Ladies, Diva, Sweet Dreams and Radio had the pop commercial potential. The whole album was a concept album with a dance side and a slow side, and for what it stands for, it’s amazing, side A or B, both were very entertainning songs.
You can get critical but you gotta know what you’re talking about. I happen to be a follower since day one too.

@ say what single did go far because of the video not because it was Amazing come on dont exaggerate things now..I mean it wasn’t bad but the video definitely pushed the track further.

BS that single was trash. It was pop and the radio and media forced it down our throats. “If you like it then you should’ve put a ring on it” Really people really? It was a woman empowerment song and it took off. What do you really think she does. I can tell you the formula release a woman empowerment pop song. Make a great video showing off her performance skills. Can’t lie she performs her a$$ off then do a major tour. Samething everytime. ie irreplaceble. I can agree if it ain’t broke don’t fix it. But seriously she drops albums quickly cause the music isnt organic. We all know pop songs fade quickly

She can’t be compare to MJ and she is pop anyway, bubble gumm ,a pole dancer I want to she r&b come out her you got to have soul. I wish she would sit down some where and get a break, you can’t have everything do a gospel album. I didn’t even recognize her if her name wasn’t up there I would have thought she was a white girl with a tan.

How is it stolen goods if she bought it??? When an songwriter writes a song…sometimes it shopped & if it gets in the hands of an international superstar like Beyonce that could be the biggest move in their career…when she buys a track & it makes it on her album…you get paid, so stop hating damn! If they wanted to keep it they wouldn’t have SOLD it!

Sorry…..to u Dangerous in Love fans but,you will never get that album, again. She is a global artist. DOL was very R&B and no global artist sticks to one genre. Especially R&B, the fans are not that supportive as pop, rock, or rap fans. She knows exactly whats shes doing. She is mixing up Bday(hip hop/pop uptempo) with I Am( concept contemporary/best critically received album) She would not dare go back to strickly R&B maybe in her late thirties would she do that or when DC3 reunites would you get that R&B album that u so want to hear.

Why is it that people cannot agree to disagree? I do not believe anyone is bashing Beyonce or Ashanti. Both women have come far from where they were at. One continues to thrive for “attention” the other not so much -as long as she has currency in her back account she’s content. Truth of the matter is that Beyonce switch to pop after the original girls of Destiny’s Child were removed. Beyonce changed her appeal to those who prefer pop. And the ones that help her/Destiny Child establish Bills…as a hit were left confused of how she completely went left-but left was where she had to go to accomplish the fame (in her mind) R&B would only get her so far. Look at Ashanti she makes R&B hits but “we” are the majority that supports her…Sally down the road can’t get with the rhythm of Ashanti but Beyonce makes it so that Sally can get with it. By the way, MJ didn’t cross over. He made R&B and pop, he is the King of Kings. He brought the people to him race, age, class, etc. Michael Jackson brought the people to him, play an MJ album -just one and it will be a guarantee that every person in a crowd would be able to walk away with one song from that ONE album.
You have to stay true to yourself and that is why in my opinion Ashanti will be around longer than others. In order for Beyonce to accomplish her goal as a female MJ she would need to get back to her ‘starter fans’ apologize for leaving them in the dust, stay true to herself. Have the people of all genres/nationalities cross over to her.
