‘ROUND THE WAY: CHRIS BROWN REPORTEDLY LOSES HIS COOL AT GMA + INTERVIEW BEFORE THE OUTBURST

March 22nd, 2011

Chris Brown is photographed shortly after an explosive argument at GMA on Tuesday morning in NYC. It was reported that Brown lost his cool after Robin Roberts kept asking Rihanna questions. He then stormed into his dressing room and started screaming, and one source says us he smashed a window in his dressing room, and the glass shattered and some shards fell onto the street.

TMZ says that security rushed the area, Brown had ripped off his shirt and left the building, blowing off another performance he was supposed to for the ABC website.

Chris brown tweeted (and deleted) this following tweet shortly after the incident:

“I’m so over people bringing this past s**t up!!! Yet we praise Charlie sheen and other celebs for there bulls**t.”

Below are a couple of tweets he didn’t delete and some that he retweeted.

Do you think the media is purposely baiting him or is it time for him to man up? GIVE US YOUR TAKE IN THE COMMENT AREA.

First lemme say domestic violence an drug abuse is 2 differen things but i mean its not right but chris need to learn how to handle situations professionally why he couldnt say “i appreciate your concern but im here to promote my album which come out 03/22/2011″ whats so hard for him to differ the questions to somethin he there for if he’s there to promote then he needs to reinstate that you cant mad an throw bitch fits when it happens just lemonade outta the lemon!

exactly! doensnt he know that he will be asked about this for the rest of his life? Robin was doing her job as a reporter and if he didnt want to answer he needs to learn how to do so in a professional manner.

I hope that all the “girls” who blame Rihanna and support him realise that he has not learned his lesson. he is still very immature and continues to blame others for his misfortune.

      He could’ve said:

“I really wish the incident had never happened, but it did and i cant turn back the hands of time. I’ve apologised to Rihanna and all the other people i’ve hurt with my actions. Right now i’m learning from my mistakes and trying to move forward in a positive manner and just continue to grow. I hope that one day i can regain the love and trust of the public, through my actions today, NOT based on the things i did two years ago.”

There, was that so hard? if he had just said that, there was nothing else Robin could have asked him about Rihanna. Does this kid have a publicist/manager?

And how many time’s do you think he has said that? I’ve seen interviews which he has conducted himself in a more “2professional” manner and has said all of the above that you suggested but the media do not publicise that, it’s only the potential negatives that is generated

@nevah ok just because he said it once doesnt mean anything many ppl is gonna ask him this for the rest of his career i said its not right but thats life if he doesnt want it to happen he need to go take his money an live under a rock

Completely agree. He should know or his publicist should prepare him for the fact that the question will almost certainly come up whether he likes it or not – so just be prepared to answer in a professional succinct manner and divert the remaining conversation to the issue at hand. He really has some growing up to do. This is only proving that he still does lose his cool/become aggressive when he feels he’s provoked.

Unfortunately the media is baiting him and making this out to be more than it should be at this point in time- HOWEVER, like was mentioned before, he is just going to have to deal with this or get out the industry. This “Incident” is going to follow him the rest of his career/life as it does for Rihanna. If he doesn’t want to talk about, then politely decline and get back to the music. Throwing bitch fits and tantrums is NOT how you handle it!

@ NEVAEN You know how many times some of our musical greats like Michael Jackson and Beyonce have been asked the same questions over and over again about past situations that hurt their reputations. That is not an excuse. What makes them great is their ability to be professional. I’m so over this and the blinded women who condone this behavior. DONE!

Chris Brown handle the situation incorrectly….but sometimes the incorrect move can get the desired results…After when the media’s questions get played out they are forced to move on…sometimes it is up to the artist/actor or whatever to make it so. Fact is…he is trying to move on, he answered everything already….So any other questions about the situation is obviously baiting.

But he is right tho….Charlie Sheen is getting praise for being a drug/alcohol abusing womanizer who also has a history of domestic violence….But Chris Brown is demonized…Sh*t don’t add up…

    • Note

Not to mention that these questions keep Chris Brown from advancing in his career. If people are still dwelling on the past issues then how can he develop in the future. If the media keeps making it a issue then he won’t be able to profit from any future moves. Sometimes is just seems as if people purposely don’t want to move on….maybe thats why he reacted in such a manner. Maybe it isn’t the most socially accepted method of handling the situation, but to call him a spoiled brat because some prick is purposely trying to push his buttons is ridiculous.

I think CB’s point is: Why do people forgive/forget for one and not the other?

Is it true that the media is often harder on black MALE celebrities or African Americans in general who happen to not look the conventionally accepted ideal of beauty prescribed for AA culture?? Yes. Tiger Woods, Kobe Bryant, Michael Vick and so on can attest to this.

Is it true that Charlie Sheen is now being praised and offered various other jobs since his dismissal from his show? Yes as well. But the media is not the reason for his success — his success has stemmed from how the public has reacted to him. There is not one person who has argued that he isn’t crazy and in need of help, but the difference between Chris Brown and Charlie Sheen is that Chris Brown reacts like a child, and Charlie Sheen acts like a privileged man who simply could give an eff less which has made him hilarious.

Controversy is at the bane of entertainment and it is a journalist’s job to narrow in one whatever factor in one’s life that will promote the best reaction and catch headlines. At this point, Chris Brown needs to stop acting like a reckless, indignant child and be the near 22 year old that he is. A simple, I’ve already closed the chapter on that I’d like to not revisit that… would sum up everything. Better yet, he could’ve been a witty smart ass and said something like: “Oh wow… You know, I’d love to have Rihanna answer these questions for you since you seem so vested in things pertaining to her, but unfortunately by law I’m not allowed to contact her.”

That would’ve been a more effective way to demonstrate his annoyance and also shine light on the fact that he was not there to speak to Rihanna instead of acting like a five year old. In the words of Riley, at what point does personal responsibility factor into the situation?

Chris being a young male should have known better on how to deal with the situation. Where the heck is his PR person….I know he wanted to promote his album which is cool but I know he had to know one of the reasons why he was on GMA was that he had that incident that was widely publicized….I understand it was two years ago but he needs to learn the proper way to deal with the situation because people are going to ask. That was a big incident and you can move on from it by focusing on the album as he started to do being cool about it and finding a better way to answer the questions. By doing what he did he just gave everyone who does not want to see him succeed a confirmation that he aint learned anything…unfortunately

@dozeki… That is irrelevant to anything I’ve stated here. I also failed to mention that Charlie Sheen is a known coke addict and so on and so forth. Clearly the point of my post was not to harp about what crimes either person has done but rather how each have reacted to the media’s response to such crimes.

@JusSaying, you are completely right. The media knows he has an anger issue and they will play on that. They are pushing his buttons and he is so dumb he is playing in to that. He let them win! They know exactly what to say and do so that he can continue to respond the way they want him to, WRECKLESSLY, and hang himself like he has been doing. Truthfully, this boy (because his mind is equivalent to that of a child) has all the makings of an abuser. Abusers tend to try to convince the public they are “great” people, they have bad tempers, they cant control their anger, they blame others for their actions, & then play the victim role when they have to face the repercussions. People make mistakes but this guy thought because he had money he would get away with it. Maybe if he acted like an adult he would have but because he continues to feed into the bull he is only showing his true colors. He is out of control. No one can anger you that bad that you throw a chair & break a window in a public place. No one made him do that, HE DID IT TO HIMSELF!!!! He beat Rihanna so people can ask about it all day long if they like. He needs to keep addressing it in a respectful manner & if he was skillful he could be playful about it and be witty with his words so that the interviewers eventually get the point that he will not play their silly games and he will focus on his music. Instead, he is falling in to their trap and he has no one else to blame for it but him. This boy is pathetic to say the least and anyone that feels sorry for him knows nothing about his type (the abuser type listed above). Research it if you think i’m lying! You can’t hide the truth and he sure cant anymore. He just made it worst for himself even more so.

Key word “she” and how many people do you think ask him the same questions over and over on a day to day basis? Or did you think that would be the only interview for the day? Like I said he is only HUMAN! I’m not making excuses nor do I condone what he did but we are in no position to punish him for the rest of his life. The ultimate judgement will come from God

Answer me this how long should he be punished for? He was clearly trying to divert the interview back to the promotion of his album..When he humble’s himself you say he’s ” fake” when he behaves like this you call him a “spoiled brat” He can’t win! I don’t blame him for reacting the way he does, he’s criticized either way..

Sorr, Naveah but he did react like a spoiled brat. How many celebs do you think get continually asked about issues from years ago that they no longer care to answer (Jennifer Aniston divorce anyone? Ask the media and it happened yesterday).

He needs to learn to respond like a mature adult. The fact is that whether the reporter wants to ask the question or not, their bosses have told them to do so and there will be repercussions if they don’t. Robin probably was uncomfortable asking the question again, but everyone has a boss to answer to. Again, he needs to grow up.

he’s an entertainer and he’s doing promo for his new album! this is standard procedure. if he cant handle a few interviews maybe he should go back to school and quit the business, because this is what every celeb does when they are promoting something.

what he did to Rihanna cannot be ignored, he will ALWAYS be asked about it. he needs to accept that and just be smart about it. but, like i said before, he is very immature and has a lot of growing up to do. he need to accept the fact that he brought this on himself.

I beleive that it is so easy to judge people when you are not in their position, failing to realize we too have our own flaws. I agree God should be the final judge. Yes he could have handled it differently but again we aren’t the ones in the spotlight to understand the pressure it may have on him. He paid his debt to society and I feel as a culture we gain our energy off of negativity. He put a lot into his album and people don’t see the hard work and growth they just see the past if we aren’t goin to forgive him for it then stop supporting the man.

Well, said @ la verite. And Charlie Sheen does continuously get asked the same question about his leaving the show and his womanizing and drug use. But he just has fun with it and plays along. He doesn’t go into a childish tantrum and throw a chair through a mirror and then take off his shirt on the streets of Manhattan. Chris Brown has a lot of growing up to do.

      Reply /0
    • Tru

@MZAMAZ: You make a good point except that there is no growth on his part! He threw a tantrum like he did when he beat Rihanna. Females that think it is okay to forgive and forget this are the reasons why people like him keep doing what they do. You allow him to continue his behaviors by not holding him accountable. He does not have to pay for this the rest of his life, only God can judge him, BUT he does need to grow up and change for his sake because so far he is only showing that after all these years that passed since that situation, he is still easily able to fly off the handle. Can you imagine if it was just him and the Robin interviewer? He probably would have hit her or thrown something her way in frustration, I would bet on it. And that is the point. Others that have done wrong dont feed in to the media’s bull because i’m sure it is overwhelming to say the least but he does and he makes it easy for them. Realistically, he is just an immature kid and it’s only a matter of time before it happens again. Here we see just how dangerous he could be. What if someone was hurt by that glass down below just walking that street? What if Rihanna wasnt famous and didnt get that attention over what he did to her? She would end up seriously hurt, scarred for life, or dead like many other women have in the past. His personality type is not acceptable, regardless of race, and until he can show he has grown up and is able to control his emotions and express himself like an adult should then he will always remain a threat and a target for society who will continue to oush his buttons as long as he continues to allow it.

I don’t know it’s hard to tell. But I think he should’ve kept it professional, because when he acts out like that it shows he can be a ticking time bomb waiting to explode. However, I can understand him getting upset regarding the questions, so its kind of hard to really say. All Iknow is I WILL be buying the CD tonight after work. I also agree with Chris on the comment he made about Charlie Sheen, shoot Charlie Sheen accidentally shot his ex (some years back) and I’m sure it was during one of his rages and you don’t even hear much about that anymore. Keep ur haed up Mr. Brown. I better note that, No I do not condone domestic Violence, from anybody of any form.

I agree with you, Surprise. I mean, Charlie Sheen had a rampage with a stipper/prostitute/whatevever in his hotel room and we are still laughing at him and CBS is still offering him his job back. But in the same token, IF Sheen ever gets right and tries to make a comback, he should also expect for interviewers to reference this crazy period and he should be prepared to handle that without busting windows and tearing off his shirt like the Hulk.

let’s face it, the ONLY reason they’re giving Sheen back his job on the show is because it’s the NUMBER ONE SHOW ON CBS!! && IT WAS MAKING THEM MONEY MONEY MONEY! they couldn’t possibly find ANYONE to replace Sheen on Two And A Half Men. so what do you do when you don’t want to hire a new face and sacrifice your number 1 spot and suffer canceling the show and losing tons of money. When he said “Forgiving All Of My Enemies” he should have known that was an open door answer to a “Rhinna” question. NOW the mess that happened backstage; busting out the window, tearing up the greenroom, ripping his shirt off & storming out was so uncalled for. i mean REALLY? Chris Brown’s problem is that his mind is not trained to handle these interviewers. All mainstream media interviewers are trained in using tricknology questions and a false friendly vibe to disarm the simple. Robin Roberts is a l*sbian, so he should expect her (as a man-hater) to bring up the Rihanna issue incessantly. The fact that she does it with a smile should make no difference. Furthermore, he clearly has demons on him and is a cokehead. He is more jittery now than he was as a teenager.

It is a intro where he say s he will not sell his soul or speak on about the people that want him too or out to get him. He has to keep his mouth zipped. otherwise they’re consequences. Listen to ”Matrix it is about a song the illuminati in regards to how they will ruin him. I’ve met chris a few times. he shows great humility and charm to his fans. He works in a twisted industry. He shows faith in god and he has songs dedicated to jesus. He may not be perfect. But who is….. He is in a industry where they will uplift the people who praise satan i.e jay z, rihanna, kanye, katy perry etc and downgrade the guy that has ”faith”.

To be honest, Chris actions shows he haven’t changed at all. He a celebrity, and things has happened in his past . When you in a spotlight, you going to be asked these questions. He could’ve easily ignored them. I am not in the media field but I swear they discuss or his pr discuss with gma what questions can be asked or not to be asked. If he knew he was uncomfortable he could’ve politely decline to answer. Going on these temper tantrums and bull mess. He seriously need some help . I don’t get his fans, they excuse everything he does but if its a regular joe blow doing the same exact thing they be the main people to throw him under the jail and talk down to him. I am sorry we all human but why look up to someone who constantly disappoint you. Everytime he into some bullshit he don’t think before he react, then when he sits back and realize what he does he on a webcam looking like a sad ass puppy dogs begging for forgiveness once again.. He need to grow the fuck up, point blank !!! He need to truly get himself together because one day, he going to truly mess up and he won’t be able to salvage his career he better take this blessing and go more on a positive directions..You a celebrity people watching your every movement.. As a female, Chris’s actions towards Rihanna are repulsive, but I am still a fan of his music. I think that he is a talented entertainer and since he has tried to make ammends and apologize for his actions, let’s let him continue on with his music. We all fall short and we all deserve second chances. Let the man promote his MUSIC.

Now with that being said, Chris definately did not need to throw a fit after the interview. That just proved that the man still has explosive tendencies and needs some (more) anger management counseling. I hope that he makes the personal changes that he needs to make so that the public can look at him for his music and not his attitude.

I say this about the Chris and Rhianna stuation. Is a woman suppose to put thier hands on a man?? Clearly she put her hands on him and that’s how he reacted. Stop making him seem like that he just beat her up for no reasons. Reguardless you are not suppose to put your hands on someone and do not expect them to fight back. I agree the way he behave is immature at times. They’ll always will be people bringing him down and talking about it all the situation. But how many times do you have to say sorry? How many times do you have to tell the same story everybody knows. How many times does it have to be publicized? but I also feel that Rhianna need to admit to her action as well (she never will). They make it seem like she’s innocent when she’s not. I never put my hand on anybody. Just because you’re a female doesn’t give you the right to put your hands on no male.

I can see his frustration, she was being a bit persistent. However destroying a dressing room sets him back a little once this becomes more into the media. Being under a gigantic microscope now that his every move is watched, he’s gotta be careful this time around. If I were him I would have simply asked if we could please change the subject, moreso have my publicist inform the interviewer ahead of time what and what not to ask, I know many celebrities do that.

Yes it’s old and no one wants to hear about it anymore, but he has to realise that reporters are still going to ask him about it, now and in years to come if he’s fortunate to still be doing what he loves. He needs to learn how to check the reporter calmly or just walk away. Pulling some Hulk type shit is not a good look!

And Charlie Sheen is a damn fool, drugs or domestic violence it doesn’t matter you have ppl going out to buy tickets to see this fool when he has whooped his wife a** and also threaten to kill her and he has kids so come on lets look at his history and he is a grown man and he needs his medication. Chris Brown is 21yrs old this happened when he was 19yrs old he’s still growing so you can expect him to act like he’s 40 when he’s clearly not. Chris Brown lost it and this time he did not whoop nobody he broke a window so please let it go all this talk is going to get that boy arrested when all he has to do is pay for the window….DONE

I’m surprised he’s responded the way he did after the interview. He should’ve known GMA was gonna ask him those questions! Him having outburst and breaking windows makes it seem like he still has anger issues. Thats all it took for him to get mad like that? really breezy? He diggin’ himself a deeper hole. He’s gotta stop being mad all the time…media will be media…deal with it and keep it movin! All in all I’m still a fan of his music and dance #teambreezy

He’s acknowledged it time and again. Leave him alone already.

The media loves to beat a dead horse. I’m personally tired of hearing about it.

And the feminists constantly whining about how he hasn’t “learned his lesson” yet really need to either define how that should look or STFU!

I mean seriously, the man has publicly apologized repeatedly, done community service, etc. What exactly does “learn his lesson” look like to all of you bitter, male bashing, recipients of abuse? STOP PROJECTING!

I agree with you. Chris has admitted to it time after time..in magazine interviews on tv shows and other stuff. He has apologized to many times now! Its three years later and people still birnging it up! If i was in his place i’d b so ANNOYED! I’m a aRihanna fan but she did magazine interview recently and they asked her bout chris and she clearly got angry saying she is tired of people fu8king asking her about the issue. People just trying to bring him down still and it is getting boring.

He made a mistake and he’s sorry about it. Stupid Robin lkept on asking about his legal issues, HE DOESN”T HAVE ANY!!! What an idiot. Everyone else is praising Charlie Sheen about his breakouts and CBS is offering his job back! Would ple ask OJ Simpson about killing his wife everytime the cameras were on him? Was Ike Turner questioned about the CONSTANT beating he gave Tina Turner? and keep in mind, these were GROWN men! So leave Chris Brown alone!

Why does Brown continue to act like a fool? Yes, the media will continue to ask questions about the past. Why not just say something like “I’m no longer commenting on the past” instead of acting like a fool. He needs some better people around him to teach him how to deal with the press. There’s the smart way to deal with issues…and then there is the ignorant way. The smart way is always better for business.

This is ridiculous. I think he made it clear that he doesn’t want to talk about Rihanna anymore the first time she brought it up. I know for a fact that artist tell shows what topics are off limits.Rihanna is all over the place and nobody really brings it up anymore, or they never question Jay about B or vice versa? They agree to one thing and then when you get there they blindside you. I do think the media is way harder on African Americans for mistakes that may have been made in the past. At the same time Chris needs to know that black in America isn’t a walk in the park I don’t care who you are or what you have. He needs to learn how to control his emotions, but he’s still young at 21 I was a ticking time bomb also. I’m sure that it is not easy growing up in the public’s eye and even harder to learn life and yourself w/everyone telling you how you should look, talk, adn what to do. Although it was very unprofessional it could’ve been a lot worse he could’ve straight out called her a bitch on T.V. at least he waited to be off camera. This young man has been through a great ordeal. I’m more than sure that the thought of losing EVERYTHING he worked so hard for scared his young ass straight. People make mistakes, but dwelling on it won’t correct it. We all know how much we hate wrong choices in the past to be brought up in arguments at home, what makes you think he wants the world to keep that memory of him fresh. Give him room to keep growing, or else he will be the next Charlie Sheen…smh

Chris’ manager is at fault. He should be given a list of the questions asked by the interviewers and then the manager should give them a list of the questions/issues he will not discuss. I saw the interview and the performance and the interview focused heavily on his past shortcomings. Chris’ performance was stellar and his dancing and energy was awesome. Its not fair that he should have to pay for his past crime the rest of his life but he must be able to control himself with dignity when pressed about what he doesn’t like. He needs a new publicist, manager and therapy to heal his heart. I feel for you Chris.

So what if the media is “baiting” him? He is 21 years old, been in the business since he was 15, the concept of reporters asking uncomfortable questions shouldn’t be new to him. The questions weren’t even offensive. It was Robin Roberts for goodness sakes! Not like it was Bill O’Reilly. IMO, he played himself by storming off and not doing the second performance. He is supposed to be promoting, and he just forfeited that by not finishing his set. But I guess this controversy gets him more attention. And why is he bringing up Charlie Sheen? Is he jealous that Charlie Sheen gets praised for his bullshit and he doesn’t? I’m telling you, this boy (BOY!) has about 2 braincells to rub together. Nobody is perfect- but there are a lot of people who get upset and manage to you know, not break a window and shiz.

I seriously doubt anyone would be jealous of Charlie Sheen…i think the proper term is “Mad”…And he has a right to be. Whatever the reason you may have to vouch for Charlie Sheen he is still a Alcholic/Drug Abusing womanizer to now thrives off of the fact that everyone knows it…and he gets praised for it….its Hypocritical and wrong to consistantly bother someone who is trying to move on and apologize while praise a dude who does even worse sh*t…and really doesn’t give a f*ck. I think people are more interested in seem him fail than anything else.

Oh Chris!! I stay rooting for this young man, and though he did have a point about the Charlie Sheen antics (who was also reportedly abusive), that’s still no way to act. Show them that you are disciplined! This is exactly the reaction they wanted! Of COURSE they’re going to bring up the Rih situation, that’s what the media does! They will never let you live something as major as that! But show them that you have matured beyond that foolishness! Rihanna constantly gets asked the same questions, but since she wasd the victim, when she shuts them down, they move on!

    C. Breezy, it’s time for you to man up about the situation. You may have apologized a thousand and one times, and many people may see it as sincere, but when you act like this, we just feel like “We don’t believe you, you need more people!”

Surprisingly, these comments aren’t as bad as I thought they would be. I’m seeing a lot of people calling him immature rather than blaming him for the incident again. I can say that I am a fan of Chris’, but I’m definitely not a stan of his and I can admit it if he makes mistakes. To tell you the truth, this pisses me off! It would’ve pissed me off if it was somebody who I can’t stand like Britney Spears and her personal mistakes she’s made years ago.
Roberts was very unprofessional and immature herself! WTF didn’t she understand???? He didn’t want to discuss it. Whether or not you feel like Chris is a woman beater, you have to get rid of that bias and see that the media is treating him unfairly! What is wrong, is for bloggers to sit here and keep on bringing up the old incident and celebrating the “failure” of his career. Reading comments like “Well he deserves it” How could y’all support this woman beater” “He smashed her face” are sickening! We get it already! That doesn’t mean that he’s supposed to be fired from his job! How can people hold grudges against someone they don’t know and who’s been forgiven by the “victim” and her family?
After all these years, he’s being eaten alive and by A BLACK WOMAN! They act like this story is so important when it’s not. YOU HAVE PEOPLE IN JAPAN WHO ARE SUFERING AND DEAD, AND PEOPLE IN HAITI THAT ARE STILL IN PROVERTY, yet you want to talk about this small incident? Plus, why isn’t Charlie Sheen being put on blast? Some dummy on here said drug abuse is different. Are you freaking kidding me? Charlie has abused his wife for years, threatened to kill her, and is doing drugs. He’s much worse than Chris Brown but because he’s WHITE AND AN ESTABLISHED ACTORS… he gets pity?!? Also, what about Mel Gibson?
I know I’m ranting, but this is so frustrating. I don’t like Rihanna first off because she’s untalented, rebellious, and nasty, but this makes me dislike her even more. Is she happy that she ruined Chris’s career. This should’ve been kept between the police, her and Chris, and their family. The public didn’t have to know about this. To use this for album sales is disgusting! It’s funny how when Ciara brought up how Rihanna “wasn’t nice” at an event they had attended on Joan River’s show, Rihanna acted immature by calling Ciara out on Twitter. Now you see, Ciara used that opportunity, when asked about her “clown” dress to call her out because she was mad at her and wanted people to think negatively of her. How would she feel if every celebrity she knew kept on talking about how mean she is every chance they got?

it’s so funny that people are actually taking this as the truth. it’s been confirmed, this is fabricated. he performed, yeah 3x, he didn’t leave, and straight after he signed autographs. nice try media. yes there was that interview. and the pictures. anybody coulda broke that windown and frame him. on the day of his album release. that be a stratergic field day for press and the some of you people are completely illiterate and DUMB! yes dumb. you take everything the media tells you and take it at FACE VALUE. they’re many set ups in the industry. I honestly feel bad for Chris Brown. He is really trying, but the media’s job is too keep up mess. That is there job. They get paid for making ratings. I watched 106 & Park yesterday and they did such a great job with him being on the show. It was very positive. Rihanna wants to move on, why can’t we? I think what he should do from now on is just give them dead silence when they ask those questions. Nothing is worse than dead silence during an interview…lol.

Also, let me say this, SIN IS SIN. I am glad that I have been forgiven for my sins and all the times I continue to slip up. I could not imagine what how I would react if someone kept throwing all of my sins in my face. I would probably be violent as hell too.

    Dear Chris,

Charlie Sheen is being praised for being a blithering idiot, is that what you want? You really should not compare your self to other celebs who are being forgiven, because the fact remains that the photographic evidence against you is horrific. We hear that this person has beat up that person, but when you see a photo, hear say is erased. and only facts remain and in this case, the facts were Rihann’s bloody, bruised and disfigured face. As a formally abused woman, I have to say that I forgave you a long time ago. I have been abused in two relationships and while the rest of my friends were badgering you, I wondered why I had moved on so fast. I came to the conclusion that it’s a sickness on both of our parts….the abuser and the abused. That situation with you and Rihanna made me value myself more and I guess my heart still forgives you, not because of my sickness, but because I was born to forgive. I felt that justice was served in a way, and we would soon see, if you learned your lesson. So, when I read the head lines this morning and some of your tweets, I wondered if you have really learned your lesson? You wish that the past were left behind, but imagine the nightmares that Rihanna has to toss and turn through. I know she has them, because we all do. What about the longing that her heart feels for you, but she knows that you are not good for her…that kind of pain is long lasting. What about the embarrassment and pain she suffers when the press and fans ask her about this very incident? What you must remember is that some people have hearts of forgiveness, while others do not. Everyone does not forgive you like me. For another abused woman seeing you might be like pouring salt in a wound. Lastly, Robin from GMA survived cancer and is pro all things women. You should have gone there knowing that there was going to be a little tension and you should have taken it and moved on. Everyday is not going to be like it was on 106 & Park (aired yesterday). Someday’s will be lke today, but you have to take it all in stride and remember that people are not entiled to move on from this. Some people do not have hearts of forgiveness and some people just don’t like you…didn’t before the incident and really don’t now, but that should only make you stronger. You did not go to jail. You do not live in a era or a country where an act so terrible could have costed you your life. Consider the many alternatives….this could have gone so many different ways, you could have accidentally killed her. So, please Chris, don’t complain. Woe is not you…be happy and try and understand that what you did was not noble and you will deal with questions about it for as long as you walk this earth. Your reaction today has some wondering if the punishment was enough. Relax Chris.

    Best,
    DP

I think you missed the point of his Tweet…it wasn’t that he wanted to be treated the same way…he was mad because someone that is embracing his disgusting ways is getting praised and being able to have a career…yet someone who is trying to repent and served his punishment still has to be demonized as a foul human and consistantly fight past issues just to have a career. It also sounds as if you feel better passing judgment on someone without knowing the story yourself…regardless of what might have happened…as proven with this quote… “We hear that this person has beat up that person, but when you see a photo, hear say is erased. and only facts remain and in this case, the facts were Rihann’s bloody, bruised and disfigured face”. I am sorry that you have been abused…but there is a fine line between abuse and just getting your ass kicked, and we don’t have enough proof to determine that…like you said…all we have is the image of a beat up woman…thats it. Everything else you stated was obvious and sounds as if you are saying its ok for the media to harass and downgrade anyone they feel at any given time. I feel for you if you have been abused…but trying to circle around that point in your argument is frivolous because you are not basing it on anything substantial in regards to such.

You and the rest of the nosey people need to mind your own business! Chris is a HUMAN BEING he has feeling and is going to continue to make mistakes. Rihanna was in the wrong, we still don’t know what she did to tick him off. There’s speculation that she either slapped him, gave a weak punch, or raised her hand and he went off. Once again this is a clear reminder that this is white America and what’s good for whites still isn’t good for others. Charlie Sheen like any other white american will be handled carefully and looked out for while a minority will be made an example of. Knowing this I blame Chris and the people around him because they should know first hand that what applies for whites doesn’t apply to Chris. He barely escaped prison with the RiRi thing which should’ve been a total heads up. Unlike most artist out today Chris truly has what it takes to be a mega star but lacks the direction and discipline to do it. The wrong musical direction and definitely the wrong career guidance. CB is a natural in the studio, on stage and on film but if something isn’t done he will end up a sad story. Dude needs a real man in his life that he respects. America is still a sad ass place but knowing this we have to be intelligent.

Beyonce and Jay-Z also have the power to have those people and companies in a lot of sh*t if they get too hostile…Chris Brown does not…Thats why people don’t go after Jigga…because he is too powerful.

He’s in the problem in the first place for violence, do you really think violence will make people stop asking? No, it just makes him look more like an abusive violent person. I personally blame Chris’s management, Tina Davis is so wack and has done a terrible job since this all happened. He can keep saying music, music, music but the ENTERTAINMENT BUSINESS does not work like that. If he didn’t want to be subject to the public eye, then he should of been a underground artist. Plain and simple.

I think for any human who made a mistake & has had to deal with soooo many cosequences. After losing damn near everything from sponsors, to fans…to not being able to go to events. Having to rebuild a image, and truely to be sorry for everything that happened. Forgive your self and have learned. Its got to be terribly frustrating for on the day your album comes out, to introduced as “The woman beater who is trying to make a comeback” and then try to stir away from the questions about the situation that you have moved passed would piss me off too. I’m sorry. When Rihanna album came out is wasnt like hey Riri… I know your album came out today but fuck your album… How are you and Chris Brown? I was a simple Rihanna is back with LOUD, after a turbunant pass , shes in a better place. For Chris its like damn, can you at least save these question for after we talk about the album. And I aggree with the Charlie Sheen comments. I’m sorry, the media just dont treat Charlie & Chris the same. Charlie has abused mutiple women and the media seems to overlook the facts, because of his drugs. Its almost like Chris should have just claimed to be a cocaine addict and everything would have been all good. God says you forgive everyone. There isnt a soul on earth who is perfect and when someone tries to correct their mistakes and moves on with their life…its hard when people keep throwing back in your face. Its obvious that all the poor guy wants to do is make music & perform. I don’t think he would have been so offended/hurt if Robin would have asked so… we know your restraining order is off, have you spoken to her? and thats it. Robin does seem to go super hard on him like this was for her night-line show. Like come on Robin, its the first thing in the morning. Is it really necessary to try to paint Chris in such a negative light to the world again? Thats like going to church, getting saved…and every time the preacher spoke of you they would bring up how many people you slept with before you found God, even 2 years after you been on the straight and narrow. At some point your gonna be like damn. I’m not that same person anymore. And you would feel disrespected by such comments. I feel sorry for him because I do feel like he is trying. And I think he needs a better publicist too. I feel like he politely answered the first 2 questions and was like okay…questions about the album now. Its funny how the media allows everyone but Chris to be human. Like he a child because he has emotions? No. He’s human. Maybe not performing was a bit much.

He should take his cue from Kobe Bryant then. He lost sponsors, and yeah maybe some of his fans left him, but look at how he bounced back (pun not intended). No one brings it up anymore, he’s back to having sponsors, winning championships, and the public has moved on.

2 steps forward, 4 steps back. He blew it. Big Time. He is so emotionally immature and irrational that it’s not even funny. Instead of leaving the building and venting his anger and frustration in the limousine, he acted like a total brat by destroying property, threatening the segment producer, and tearing off his clothes like he’s Hulk or something. That sh*& is on him, GMA didn’t make him do that, he made the irrational decision to do that, and his true colors came through. Man up, take responsibility for your actions and stop acting like your the victim! You are not a victim! Rihanna has had to talk about it as well, and I’m certainly sure she wants to move on from it too, but you don’t see her throwing chairs. If he thinks this whole thing will blow over now, it won’t happen anytime soon.

OH STFU! of course Rihanna didn’t get mad, she was the so called “victim.” Rihanna used this whole incident to get album sales for “Rated R.” What a bit$%! She gets all the praise, glory, and sympathy while Chris gets all the hate. Since when did he ever say he was the victim? Chris gave so many apologies that it made him look like a damn fool! I am actually hearing that this story is false, so I’m waiting for his statement, but how would you act if someone kept on bringing up a mistake you made in the past. You are not in his shoes so you don’t know he feels. I would be so pissed and offended. It’s nobodys damn business!

Chris quite clearly attempted to bring the focus of the interview back to his music/album on several occasions. I feel she kept pushing it and he lost his isht and bounced. Simple as that. Had he not entertained the initial questions, which he answered quite “lightly” and immediately tried to redirect the interview in a more positive/current direction, I would have thought dude was absolutely crazy. But seriously folks, if you did something X years ago, went through all the media drama, went to court, got sentenced, paid your “dues” to society and are now focusing on getting your isht back on track, why the HELL would anyone want someone to keep throwing the same old isht in your face? Seriously, this dude has “people” who have told him what to say, what not to say, how to handle the questions and how to redirect interviews, granted I’m sure no one told him to storm off the set when things don’t go your way, HOWEVER, keep pushing the wrong buttons on any human being and you are guaranteed to get a reaction. CB didn’t sign up for that show to be asked about some old RiRi stuff over and over again. Keep it moving people. NUFF SAID!

I agree!!! He went on that morning show to promote his album. All Robin had to do was ask him questions about his album instead of bringing up the past. The past is the past, move along already…..sheesh!!!

I couldn’t agree more!!!!! He had to have mentioned his music and fans as the reason that he was there more than 3 to 4 times. To me, she was out of line, pushing it so damn much. He kept a smile on his face and tried to keep it moving. I think, it’s clear that his fans who were there to support him certainly did not want to hear anything that had to do with Riri. Her name or the incident should have never came up period!! I saw him on BET’s 106 & Park and he was great!
