Former heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson stopped by the Ellen Show earlier this week. In a one-on-one interview with the former American Idol judge, Tyson shared how he felt and coped with the passing of his 4 year-old daughter, how he became sober and drug free as well has his 2-year journey as a vegan. When talking about his before and after photos, Tyson jokingly referred to himself as the ‘Michigan Man’. We’re thinking that perhaps he meant ‘Michelin Man’? Either way, you can decide that for yourself. Lol
Speaking of Mike Tyson…On Monday, members of Members of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) protested in front of Tyson’s home, after watching the debut of Tyson’s television show, Talking on Tyson. In the premiere episode, Tyson is shown enjoying his hobby of competing with fellow pigeon racers:
The picketers carried signs reading, “Featherweights: No match for a Heavyweight” and “Mike doesn’t give pigeons a fighting chance.”
PETA representative Lisa Lange says, “These animals aren’t racing because they enjoy it. It’s out of desperation that they make it back.” [ Source ]
Higher ups at the animal rights organization attempted to prevent the show from airing back in March before the show began filming, calling his little (or big) hobby as “inherently cruel”.
geez, Imma need PETA to fall the hell back! they need to focus on some other sh*t like why dead animals by the thousands are coming up DEAD all over the WORLD. And DEAD birds fallin’ out the damn SKY…..and uum uum why the damn GAS prices are SKY HIGH.
PETA is SOO annoying! They need to find better things to do then bother people. I hope Mike Tyson continues his “Pigeon Racing” (never even heard of that before) and doesn’t stop and give PETA any satisfaction. I’d purposely annoy them if I was a celebrity. I don’t even wear fur (unless it’s on a winter jacket) but I’d go out in real full fur outfits and dare any of them to throw anything on me.
Leave Mike alone. He is not using drug and alcohol. He seem to turn his life around. He appears to be happy. Let’s him enjoy his hobby. He is not dog fighting.
Whenever, somebody like PETA cares more about an animal , than they do about human life, there`s a problem. Let, Mike, race his pigeons, them pigeons gonna be alright, Mike takes good care of them and feeds them everyday, there not starving like some homeless people out there .
