British actor Idris Elba is featured on the cover of The Source magazine’s May 2011 issue. The English actor addressed the controversy caused by his role as Heimdall, an all-seeing, all-hearing Norse God in the new blockbuster film Thor, producing for Jay-Z and his evolution as a thespian. When asked about his range in character roles throughout his career, the 38 year-old said:
“I’ve challenged my audience. I’ve taken them from being a drug lord to a preacher to married to Beyonce to American Gangster…versatility is the key to success.” [Source]

I do not understand what the controversy is concerning Idris Elba’s “role”. If it is because he is a so-called “black man” playing a Norse god, there should be no controversy because the Vikings were black people. The white man did not take over Europe completely until the late 1700′s. There are many books that tell you that the Vikings, and the European monarchy for that matter, were black from the fall of Rome through the “Dark Ages”. As a matter of fact, Elba was probably cast in that role to continue the caucasian practice of subliminally taunting black people’s ignorance of their own history through Hollywood movies. The Knights of the Middle Ages, the gladiators of ancient Rome, and the pirates of the 1700′s were pretty much all black, and when movies are made about these topics, the white man will always throw a black character in there somewhere to mock black people. As an aside; based on this magazine cover, Elba is clearly “down with the program”, even though astute people should’ve known that already.

How can anyone state that Naomi Campbell “looks good” unless someone is looking at her in person? Maybe in someone’s opinion, the photograph “looks good”, but most of these magazine covers have more re-touching done to them than the Sistine Chapel. The last time I saw a photograph of this creature on this website, her hairline looked like George Jefferson’s. She’s nothing but another MK-ULTRA sex kitten, like all the rest of these top models.
