Love the song; hate the video. I’ve never been an Olivia fan but if she continues on this path, I would be willing to support and that seems to be the general consensus of everyone I’ve spoken with about the piece. Also, she needs to take a tip from Beyonce and Rihanna and switch up her style. This is a 2011 song but the video is very 1999, and since she style has the same hair color and same hair style, if I were to have come across this vid on YouTube just by chance, I wouldn’t have known whether the song was new or old. She needs an image consultant BAD.
I agree that she could stand to switch up her style adn the video is slightly boring. I don’t think that she should try to be in the same lane as Bey or Rihanna, though. If she did that, then all of the haters would be too busy talking about how she’s trying to be like them instead of her vocal ability. The song is beautiful, but the video directions was “ehhh” to put it lightly.
You are so right! The song is pretty cool. Except for the screamy part of “love meeeeeeeee in December!!!!” I don’t know why that bothers me. Anyway, the song is actually not half bad but that video…NO MA’AM! That viddeo was so 1995. I know Olivia doesn’t have much money and no real budget but damn mama. She could have done something cheap and it could have still been a good look. Look at Beyonce’s Single Ladies vid. I know she didn’t spend a grip on that. It was in a studio, black and white with 3 heifers in leotards. That da** video and dance was a Youtube sensation! Also, Olivia needs to switch up that style real fast. We know you’re probably attatched to your hair ma but I’m going to need you to pull a Rihanna if you want to get noticed. As soon as Ri chopped that hair off and changed the game up it was on. Take notes from Janet Jackson, Rihanna, Beyonce and Diana Ross. To stay in the game and be effective you have to re-invent yourself ever so often. That caramel skin and long hair look isn’t going to get it. It just makes you look like every other chic we see in the club. I’m just sayin… I do think Olivia has potential but she needs to tighten it up.

She shouldn’t be so mean to Emily she really needs an image consultant! those long earrings weren’t the business. I hope this time around she doeswhat she hopes to do. She just kind was in the wrong place at the wrong time at J Records when Clive Davis released a ‘small album’ called Songs in A Minor from a ‘small artist’ named Alicia Keys right after O Lovely dropped hers.
