QUOTE OF THE DAY: ‘I USED TO BEAT UP KIDS WHO TEASED MY GAY FRIENDS,’ SAYS KOBE

April 19th, 2011

Guess Kobe Bryant is really not trying to pay up this $100,000. During an NBA game last week against the San Antonio Spurs, Bryant threw a fit and outburst, ‘F**king fa**ot!’ on national television and was slapped the hefty fine (VIEW HERE). Most of all, Kobe has been trying to make amends with the gay community since his outburst. In his latest interview with ESPN Radio, the Los Angeles Lakers star tried yet again to save face:

I used to beat up a lot of kids even in high school who used to tease my friends because they were gay, or because they were black, or because they were Jewish, or because they were yellow, or because they were whatever. [...] For people who don’t think my apology is sincere, they don’t know me. This isn’t over for me. I really plan to do more. What I said was ignorant and I really didn’t realize what I was saying.” [Source]

Lawd…Just give it a rest, Kobe…

Oh Please! He’s no different from when other races say the N word and hide behind I have a black friend. If you stand for equality for everyone why use the word at all?

I could care less about his comment, I wouldn’t be trying to make amends at all. If he doesn’t hate gay people or whatever than all he had to do was say it once and then done, who cares if they don’t accept it.

Doth protest too much. If I were him I wouldn’t explain myself to the public, it always turns out to be counter-productive in the end. If his “gay friends” (quotes b/c they are probably imaginary gay friends) are still cool with him, then that’s all he should be worried about. He should just pay his fine, do whatever charitable work he feels moved to do- quietly, and keep it moving.

I’m not a Kobe fan by any means, but I think $100,000 is an excessive fine for calling someone a gay slur…yeah it was inappropriate, but the fine is a bit excessive. I’m so sick of all these groups being sensitive to everything and wanna call foul when they feel like they have been wronged and everybody wanna protest and picket and whatnot get over it…and stop crying victim and looking for attention all the time.

That’s a very good photo that was posted for this idiot, because bending over is what he will have to do to get back in the good graces of the hom*sexuals that write his checks, film his commercials, and take his photographs. This negro wasn’t beating on anyone in high school to defend his “gay friends”, because back in the 1990′s, h*mosexuality was not something that black people did because they have nothing else to do, like it is today. It was not accepted as it is today. This is a good example of what it means for a black male to be “famous”. As long as a n!gger knows his place, he will be accrued a certain amount of fame and fortune, but you’d better not bite the hands that feeds you. Besides that, he is Boule, so he is a closeted h*mosexual his damn self lol.

The real concern needs to be about him hitting his team mate when he went to sit down on the bench… what the hell!

He has to be extremely careful on what he says. If he misses one important word he will be gone. There are many talented players waiting on the line, so he HAS to be careful on these “gay” issues.

If anything he should be paying a fine for being disruptive. I don believe 100,000 grand is too much no matter how many millions Kobe makes. Of course you have a ton of ppl and the gay and lesbian groups making a huge deal over the actual word. I can care less about what was said, but the fact that he was disruptive should be grounds for a fine. Take the apology for what it is.

If I were gay I would be offended by the way the media and the NBA are handling the situation. They are the ones making it seem like calling someone gay is offensive which is offensive in its self. Calling someone gay should be seen as a compliment not a diss

I know, I know Kobe. I believe you probably said it with an absent mind. However, just pay the damn fine…$100,000 is like $10 or less in your book.
