Actor/philanthropist Bill Cosby just gets funnier and funnier as the weeks go by! The 73 year-old comedian/activist visited NBC’s Today Show on Thursday morning (April 7) and talked about the upcoming election and shared his thoughts about wanting to help whoever the president will be in the next presidential term. During his interview with the show’s host, Meredith brought up the fact that the next election is coming up in a year and mentioned that Donald Trump may possibly run for president. Once Bill Cosby heard the real estate mogul’s name, he immediately shot down the idea of Trump running for the leadership role:
Bill: Oh, please with Donald Trump. Take him home with you.
Meredith: Now why do you say that?
Bill: Huh? Because he’s full of it.
Meredith: [awkward pause] Based on what?
Bill: Based on what I just heard. You kept saying or somebody kept saying, “Are you gonna run? Are you gonna run?’ – he jumped. You run or shut up.
Meredith: Well he says he can’t announce yet. No body has really announced yet –
Bill: Please. Anybody can announce. I’ve seen the Smothers Brothers had a guy, he was on a TV show and he said he was running. You can run. You can run now. Start running now, but the only thing he’s running is his mouth.
Meredith: Well on that note, Bill Cosby… we’ll see if he runs, we’ll see…
Bill: I don’t care!
