Well not exactly. Executive producer Simon Cowell has confirmed that Mariah Carey will officially be a part of the singing competition’s judging panel. The former American Idol judge shared that the mother-to-be will be participating in the live X-Factor shows some way or another:
“I think Mariah will have a role on the TV live shows,” Cowell confirmed to host Jackie Brown. “I met her recently and she was on great form. And her idea was to be the judge of the judges, which only Mariah could come up with. She’ll be involved in some form. I literally adore her. I love her to bits.” [Source]

LaurieAnn Gibson Working on 2nd Reality TV Dance Show
Dancer/choreographer Laurieann Gibson is taking her boomkack dancing shoes and second TV show to another network. Although she just premiered her current reality TV show, Dance Scene the creative director is working on a new show – Born To Dance, a reality dance competition show that is set to debut on BET on August 2, 2011. The show follows the experience of 10 passionate and aspiring dancers as they work towards being a part of Gibson’s dance team. In an interview with Billboard.com, the Toronto-native had a bit to say about the meaning of her upcoming show:
“It’s a survival story of youth and how much they need real art,” Gibson says. “There’s real hope and inspiration there. We’re very conscious about not saying, ‘You’re fired.’ There’s so much rejection in the dance world. My show isn’t about winning a trophy and then being let go. We’re trying to find the one girl who can be a part of my team.”
Gibson has choreographed Lady Gaga’s upcoming music video for her single, “Judas”, which is set to drop any day now…

I watched the show and I did not like it, everything seemed so staged. Especially Tamar you got the man who is managing everybody believe me he is getting a pretty penny especially with GaGa. She look like she would be wack anyway. Then there is the story with the sister Trina all of the sudden they are worried about her drinking on tv. I bet the girl probably has a drink a month. Maybe I am just over the reality thing, cause this one sucks to me. Sorry Toni ur still my girls Seven Whole Days.

I like the show. Toni and Tamar are the most controversial on the show but all the sisters bring something special to the show and they all look great. Not to mention Toni and Tamar are two of the best singers I have heard in the past 10 years.

I’m going to have to watch the whole thing in order to get a better sense of what is going on. However, the sister did not make eye contact. She kept her head down the entire time. Wonder what that is about? Body language is very important and says a whole lot.
I agree with what jasmine said Tamar really can sing. I did buy her first cd and I still listen to it. Tamar is the baby and it shows she is a spoiled brat if you listen to her song Money cant buy you love that was my song back in the day you can tell she can sing if she came out with another cd I would buy it.

Tamar was WAYYYY out of line and her sister should have checked her. If Trina’s husband have a problem with her family calling at what he feels are inappropriate times, Trina should have told her family to call a more respectable time. Trina has allowed her family to be all up in her business and now she’s wondering why her marriage is failing. If Tamar is not paying the bills in Trina’s house, she needs to fall the hell back.
I liked The Braxton’s show….Towanda, Toni, and Trina seem like regluar people…well Towanda having issues with her open marriage and Trina drinking, but nothing compared to that dam Tamar…she is a hotfunkymovingmess.com…if she don’t stop with the .com, .org, and .net..she sounds and looks ridiculous. I don’t think I’ve ever seen someone so bitter and jealous as her. If you don’t want to sing doo wop in the background for Toni then don’t, but stop complaining about it. Whatever work she had done in the nose area looks a mess. Traci looks nothing like the other 4 sisters, and she killing me with all this crying cause she aint in the group…really?? I’mma need for you to get that together.
