I remember when he first got on CNN I used to watch it just to look at him (and for the news of course). He was super fine, smart, and educated. Just the other day I turned to CNN and Don Lemon was on and I was like “he looks different”. Something was “off” about him. He didn’t look like the Don Lemon I used to love watching. Now it all makes sense! He looks different because now his truth is out. He is no longer carrying this burden/lie on his shoulders. Good Luck Don. It takes a strong man to come out the closet. Well….people that are molested usually are different in the sexuality department. Put it like this it is not rare that a person molested is gay. Look at Donnie MCclurkin he was molested and grew up to live a gay lifestyle and now he is supposedly straight. Wow being molested as a child really messes a person up, pedophiles are disgusting!!!!
To Carissa: Inaccurate assumption (and very naive/ignorant view) about individuals attracted to the same sex. There are plenty of individuals who identify as heterosexual who were molested. Such as celebrities: comdienne Monique, Oprah, actress Teri Hatcher, actress Gabrielle Union (who was raped at a job when a teenager), actor Todd Bridges, and more.

I saw his interview and I am impressed and inspired by him. There are so many negative images of African American men out there that it is always a breath of fresh air to see someone like him. I enjoy turning on CNN and seeing someone well spoken, knowledgeable, and that looks like me!! It’s sad that we shun these people in our community, and yet he is still so proud to say he is a “black man”.
