Soul songstress Jill Scott is all smiles on the cover of EBONY magazine’s June Music Issue. After recently losing 50 pounds, the mother of one sat down with EBONY magazine’s Dream Hampton and opened up about the knock-down, drag-out battle with her former fiancé, her move from Hidden Beach Records and her upcoming album The Light of the Sun.

Jill Scott is another one of these “Afro-centric” black females that puts forth a false image, and inwardly thinks that she’s too intelligent and “cultured” for the average black male. If she were as about her people as she would like the public to believe, she would be able to maintain the “black love” that most of these phony neo-soul females sing about.
