After much back and forth about the title of her often delayed third studio album, Kelly Rowland has found much success with her latest single, the Lil’ Wayne-assisted, “Motivation,” with breaking out with a top 40 hit. She has finally announced that she will title her new album, Here I Am.
Here’s what Kelly had to say about naming her album:
“I wanted people to know that this is the record, the sound I’ve been working toward… that here I am,” she explained. “It just connected with my heart and the music as well. It stands for everything I’ve gone through and thought about for this record as a woman. It’s very strong.”
Kelly has been hard at work on this new effort, with an all-star cast of writers and producers, ranging from Rico Love, Ester Dean, Stargate, Rodney Jerkins, David Guetta and many more. Seems like this could be shaping up to be Kelly’s biggest splash yet. Still, there is no solid release date for Kelly’s third LP.
Kelly and Beyonce should put out their albums on the same day, and use a competition promo like Kanye & 50. LOL

I’ve been waiting for something like this from Kells for a really long time. I think she has found her kind of music and created her own little “genre”. I love Motivation and all the other songs she has released during the last couple of years so I hope that I’ll be enjoying this upcoming album just as much

I’m happy for Kelly. Didn’t like that motivation song, but it grew on me a little bit. I still don’t think people are really going to go out and buy this album, UNLESS her second single is a BEAST. Everybody was on Ciara’s “Ride”, but the album took off no where. I hope Kelly has something to back it up that is going to expand her market.
