Olympic marathon runner Samuel Wanjiru died early Monday, 24, from injuries sustained after jumping from the balcony of his Nyahururu home in central Kenya, CNN reports.
The gold medalist was reportedly caught by his wife in a comprising situation with another woman.
Wanjiru jumped from the second-floor of his home late Sunday after his wife caught him in the company of another woman. Wanjiru’s wife, Tereza Njeri, and another woman were taken to the police station to give statements but were not considered suspects, says Police.
Njeri, who lives in Nairobi, returned home unexpectedly to find the two together, Ompati said. Wanjiru is believed to have jumped after his wife locked him inside a bedroom on the second floor, making it impossible for him to leave, he said.

According to reports,
Our sources say the shooter was driving down La Brea Avenue alone in his car when he fired. Inglewood detectives are investigating, but right now it looks like M-Bone was just in the wrong place at the wrong time.

There’s more to the Olympic runner’s story. Dude apparently had 3 wives. The other two were unknown, but have now “shown up” to mourn his death. And looking at his house, its doubtful that a man his age, and level of physical fitness would die from such a ‘low’ fall (unless he leaped head first).
