Zoe Saldana graced the cover of Hong Kong’s May 2011 issue of Prestige magazine. The 32 year-old actress talked about her latest film role in Columbiana as a professional assassin, the rise of virile women in Hollywood and her favourite designers:

If I could do a movie in Paris every year, I’d be the happiest camper. It’s such a beautiful city, especially in the summer. I’m a New Yorker, so any cities that resemble the architecture, history, crafts, fashion and art of New York are cities that are very dear to me, that make me feel at home.When I’m working, work takes centre stage, because I’m on set training, studying my script and researching. But I had a week off while the production was preparing to ship out to Chicago, so I managed to have some recreational time. It really was the best of both worlds.
On whether she has time for her love of fashion:
It’s inevitable. Fashion is part of the craftsmanship, I think, of film-making. I love the artistry of fashion, and how things get made. It ties in to my love of art and dancing. I feel like it runs in my family. I grew up in a household where my great-grandmother and grandmother were seamstresses for fashion houses. Teairra Mari recently returned to the studio with producer and songwriter, Rico Love to work on her presently untitled sophomore album. The mixtape was basically songs that Teairra had leftover from previous sessions when the album was in the works a couple of years back. There’s no word on when the official album will drop, but she’s hoping to put out a new single this summer.
