EVENTS: 2ND ANNUAL MARY J. BLIGE HONORS CONCERT

Singer/songwriter Mary J. Blige, designer Donna Karen, singer/actress Jill Scott, Jennifer Hudson and Letoya Luckett were among the celebrities that attended the 2nd Annual Mary J. Blige Honors Concert at Hammerstein Ballroom on Sunday (May 1) in New York City.

The Hammerstein Ballroom was filled with men and women all gathering to support Mary J Blige’s charity, FFAWN, helping to fund programs to empower women to reach their full potential. The atmosphere was decorated by designer Donna Karan, whose Urban Zen Foundation also supported FFAWN.

‘ROUND THE WAY: MARIAH & NICK WELCOME TWINS (BOY & GIRL)

Over the weekend Mariah Carey, 42, and her husband Nick Cannon, 30 welcomed twins on their 3rd wedding anniversary. The boy and girl duo were delivered on Saturday (April 30) at 12:07 p.m. ET at an undisclosed hospital in Los Angeles.

Carey’s representative, Cindi Berger, confirmed the births to the Associated Press, saying the baby girl was born first, weighing 5 lbs. 3 oz., and was 18 inches long; her brother was next, at 5 lbs. 6 oz., and was 19 inches.

Nick also tweeted this:

My wife just gave me the most incredible anniversary gift ever in life! I won’t ever be able to top this! I’m in the happiest place I’ve ever been in my life. I never had more amazing things happening. I am humbled by God’s Favor!
