Beyonce performed as well with the women of American Idol. She came out after the ladies performed her singles, “Get Me Bodied” and “Irreplaceable” and then hit the stage with “Crazy in Love”. She also performed her new single, “1+1″ for the first time on live television.

Shortly before her performance of “Crazy In Love” on American Idol’s finale episode, Beyonce dropped a new single entitled, “1+1″ on iTunes. This track showcases her raw vocals over piano, guitars and drums. The Tricky Stewart and The Dream-composed track is very reminiscent of a electric guitar-heavy Prince record. Nonetheless, it’s such a beautiful track.

Vanessa: It’s all about balance and understanding on both sides. You have to have a man who knows what you do and respects that. If he can’t respect that you have to be on the road for two weeks, then he isn’t the man for you. But it comes down to communication. Having love for each other will take you through.
