Actress Jada Pinkett-Smith is the cover model for the latest issue of Uptown Magazine. Speaking on family life and her very busy world load, check out some snippets from the article below.
On her husband of 14 years, Will Smith:
“We create together; we love on each other,” Pinkett Smith says of the man she still rocks out with to old-school hip-hop on satellite radio. “We raise our kids together. We are building something together. People think that Will and I don’t spend a lot of time together. Too much time, actually, if you ask me,” she says with a laugh. “It’s always nice to have a little time apart. Sometimes you need that.”
On Ending Her Music Career:
When Jaden did The Pursuit of Happyness, I was supposed to go on tour with Guns N’ Roses in Europe,” she says softly. She turned down the offer and eventually disbanded the group. “It was probably the most heartbreaking experience. But what I realized is that sometimes God will place things in your life that will make you recognize what your priorities are. I adore my son; he’s my soul seed. But people need to know that Will and I would never put our children in a situation that would bring them detriment. I saw the first episode of Hawthorne and havent seen dat shit since. I wonder if their kids said they didn’t want to do anything related to the industry anymore if they would be alright with it. U know damn well theyd be like “naw f* dat u better Go get dat Hollywood paper!”
Wow, her priorities towards parenting are very skewed. She should be looking to protect the lives of her children, not just have them “survive”.

Here we go….First I think they are great parents. Their kids seem to be having fun playing the Hollywood scene. They do not look like they are being forced to do anything. I give it up to Will for being an actor/rapper who does not except acting or rapping within the typical stereotype. Hawthorne is a good show which stars a black actress in a dramatic role, not comedy or stereotypical sassy best friend. We need to stop this crab in a barrel mentality within the black race and sometimes give credit where its due. #justsayin

I like the way this “magazine” framed the text under her name. Very interesting……it’s clear that her children are her “ultimate sacrifice”. She has sold them into the “industry” and put them through the mk-ultra programming so that she can accrue a little more fame for herself. I’m sure that she was very disappointed when her band, “Wicked Wisdom”, could not tour with Guns & Roses lol. Nothing but another Hollywood devil.

I am reminscing of Jada Pinkett-Smith while growing up in the 1990s. I miss seeing her in movies she was hilarious as well as serious, at least I am able to look at those movies and television shows from the past.

If you look at most kids growing up in an entertainment house they are going to catch that bug, just like with kids in a house with parents, who owns a business. Her kids will be fine, and wealthy in the process. As well as passing it on to their kids.

I love Jada. She’s the whole package-smart, talented, beautiful and clearly a loving and devoted wife/mother. I admire her professional and personal accomplishments. Willow and Jaden are clearly thrilled and enthusiastic about being in the entertainment industry. They are so positive and exuberant in their interviews (though Jaden has quite the knack for sarcasm and deadpan humor). Its obvious they are not being forced to do anything. Two extremely privileged kids that actually wanna work? Cheers!!
