Sorry Bey, but you stay positive and classy! This might be a good or bad move that it leaked, everyone I know love the album, she brought back so many different old school styles, it’s so different from eevrything that is out now, I highly respect her for evolving so much and not following any trends, now that’s what I’m talking about, you get your inspiration from the 90′s, 80′s, 70′s and there are some futuristic sound in it, also african! The topics are about love and are diverse as well, I can feel it! Now she delivered her best vocal performances, BRAVO! She sang that and brought the right emotions! I just think this album is her best to this date and she has surpassed her previous work, she is not on the kinda songs like “diva” anymore, she makes music for the grand musician that she is! Me and my people, even non fans were very pleased and we gon buy the album anyway! IASF leaked two weeks before its release as well and it did well so we’ll see!

This album got me wanting to buy several copies, one that I will open for me, ones that I’ll give away and one that I’ll never open, cause this will be her classic. SMH. Saying how pleased I am is an understatement when I hear what I hear on the radios and see the itunes charts. Beyoncé went back to the 70′s (rather die young), the 80′s (love on top), the 90′s (party), the 00′s (I Care, Best Thing I Never Had) the futuristic trends even (I miss you, Run The World, Start Over), the timeless (1+1, I was here, end of time), the undescriptable beyoncé mix (countdown). I feel like a proud parent or something because I honestly feel like this album is one of the best Ive heard in a long time, this is the Beyoncé I was waiting for, the vocals on every song, the GRAND musician delivered. I know the legends and old school artists must feel proud to and gon be jamming to some songs! Love On Top, I swear, this is either early whitney houston or jackson 5′s michael jackson who was singing that! Rather die young made me feel like in a movie in the 60′s or 70′s the essence of the “afro/big hair period” is all all over the place! Brilliant. Party makes me feel like the “friday” movie, perfect mix of old school hip hop and r&b! “I care” is edgy, rock-ish and the vocals she hits those whistle notes! Pshhh I’m done! Man,this album is for grown folks who know the good times of music way back in these days. From that prespective, I think the album is fantastic, she grew a lot, there is no song without good vocals.
I could not agree more, I find myself struggling to go through the entire album because each and every single song (with the exception of Run The World) is so damn good I just can’t play it once. I already now most of the words to all the songs by now. LOL

But this album def surprised me… The singles that were coming out were not up to par to what she has done in the past…But I got the leak… and Miss You, Till the End of Time, and Countdown are really impeccable….And her voice has grown…. I sometimes dont feel her emotions when she sings…but I Miss You really shows how she feels when that person is away… Overall I would give the album 4 out of 5 stars!!!

I listened to the album and it’s GREAT!!! “I rather die young” is my favorite song. This song is haunting yet musically on point. I feel this song is like a “r&b bohemian rhapsody”. I actually can listen to this whole album through, because it is just that great! This album is really for conscious music listeners. This album has complex melodies, advanced vocal arrangements, dynamics, advanced instrumentation. When the song is simple, such as “party” her complex structured harmonies shine through. I haven’t bought an album in a long time, but I will be buying this one! I feel like it’s a refreshing album compared to what’s out and a real treat.

Amen…Are we allowed to have positive opinions about something Bey does without being labeled as stans or delusional. I love how none of the people that claim to have listened to the album and hated it provide no reasons as to why the album is so bad. All you ever see are the same tired criticisms, Oh, she is trying to be white/latina, all she can sing about is shaking one’s ass in the club, she is a phony, she is a copycat blah blah blah.

so i downloaded the beyonce album…. 4, based on the songs… i’m sure the 4 stand for the the word LOVE as in 1 4 3.
all the songs except “Run the world” and “end of time” sound like something Solange would would write and sing. we know Beyonce can sing, but on this album it’s like Beyonce is saying… fuck it, I’m married now. all the moaning and groaning about love, lost love, and hurt feelings. makes me think that when her and jay-z have fight she tell Solange about it and Solange would with the song for her.
I don’t know… it’s a different Beyonce…. but i’m not sure if i like the difference…
my disapointment about the album is that is really doesn’t explore anything new… i was waiting for this new Sound / Genre that Beyonce claims that she is inventing … guess i’ll keep waiting… beyonce is young.. and what’s new to her… seem to already have been down by someone esle.

I am such a Beyonce fan, I even have all her CD’s and have been to two concerts. However, so far, I’m not feeling her music (her “leaked” singles) I really didn’t like “Run the World” but love the performance on Billboard. Party,….sigh…I couldn’t def not hear her singing this, maybe someone else. 1+1 sounds like something a new pop singer would put out. I guess I’m just not impressed. The Best I Never Had only catches me bc it is in the “Niggas aint shit, I can do better without out” realm” which women always like and can relate to. Personally, My favorite album I thought was a classic was Bday. I was not a fan of I am Sasha Fierce as I only played one disc (the uptempo) and maybe one song on the slow disc.
Sorry If you don’t like my opinion, but Beyonce’s music is not pulling me and I’m disappointed. I kinda expect more from her (Idk what) and didn’t get it. The reason her singles are not up on the charts because frankly there is other music that is better than hers right now. Now she is a great entertainer and I’m not taking away from all she has done and her accomplishments, but this album for me is not growth and I can’t really say that I would buy it. For her to go through singles like this worries me because none of her singles have had a chance to get around and they are already trying to put more out. That smells bad news for me.

I’m sorry, but this album is just not doing it for me, it’s BORING and FORGETTABLE (nothing classic about it)! I love Beyonce, but she really missed the ball with this album..The majority of the album just has a very boring and outdated feel to it, and her voice sounds way too loud on most of the tracks! I won’t be purchasing this one..Sorry folks!!
