With Beyoncé‘s forthcoming album due in 3 weeks, her fourth studio album 4 leaked into the digital world earlier this week. Although many of her fans (and STANS) may already have a copy, the 29 year-old singer released a statement about the unfortunate event:
“My music was leaked and while this is not how I wanted to present my new songs, I appreciate the positive response from my fans. When I record music I always think about my fans singing every note and dancing to every beat. I make music to make people happy and I appreciate that everyone has been so anxious to hear my new songs.” [Source]
DID YOU DOWNLOAD THE LEAK? IF SO, WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE TRACKS?

Go Rihanna!

Beyonce’s album is classic and timeless in sound and vocal arrangement. Although she originally claimed to be creating a ‘new genre’, the album is overall a modern reincarnation of 80s and 90s music, very soulful and vocally strong. “4″ reintroduces musicianship to the genre of R&B, which has been largely non-existent with the new generation taking over.
The content of her album is what brings the album down a notch. Although songs such as “I Was Here” and “1+1″ have more mature sounding subject matter, the rest of the album still sounds like she’s in her teens, which is not a good look for a woman pushing 30. But this may not be totally her fault, since its the label’s responsibility to select the top songs out of the 70 she recorded. They probably selected the songs with the subject matter that would be most relevant to today’s audience.
I believe that her marketing strategy and this whole leak is the result of her firing of Matthew Knowles. When he was her manager, any leak of a Beyonce album was unheard of, impossible. Matthew Knowles also would not have chosen “Who Run the World” as the first single. My guess would be “End of Time”, which is much more impressive and less comical.
Nonetheless, this is a learning experience for her. We have to remember that this is the first time Beyonce has really been on her own, running her own show, without the oversight of more seasoned business-minded individuals who always have her best interest in mind. She has a lot of growing to do. Give her some room.
‘Run the World’ and all the rest are pure Garbage. End of story!
I thought CL would be boring until I found this… a post with both Beyonce AND Rhianna..yeah…. now to read the comments…
despite a comment I made… I have found that the stans have not come out in their full glory… I’m disappointed because they are entertaining….
Beyonce right now is a wait and see… I don’t download music and I never bought her album but I’m sure someone in my life would so i’ll still hear it… I wish her the best
Congrats to Ms Patti…. wonder who would be singing her tribute at the awards… looking forward to it
Congrats to Rhianna… the Europe crowd love her music and it’s good to see she really has the international support…as a fellow islander I applaud her style and her trying different music styles… love California Kingbed…
Pingback: Beyonce Responds To Album Leak - The Onyx Report
Gonna wait till the REAL album is released before I start commenting on the songs.
Beyonce’s non-fans make me sick. You claim to not like her or her music YET you were the first to download all the songs and then have the nerve to start passing foolish judgements LMAO. Why are you wasting your “precious” time listening to her album then?? PATHETIC!!
THE BATTLE OF THE FANS THAT GOES ON IN EVERY POST IS NAUSEATING ESPECIALLY COS BOTH PEOPLE IN QUESTION ARE OVERRATED. BEYONCE IS MORE TALENTED THAN RIHANNA & ANYONE WITH GOOD WORKING EARS & EYES KNOWS THIS. BEYONCE SINGS & DANCES WAY BETTER THAT RIHANNA DOES BUT THIS DOES NOT MEAN SHE IS THE “BEST IN THE GAME”. RIHANNA HAS HITS & APPEALS TO A DIFFERENT TYPE OF AUDIENCE. WITH RIHANNA, IF SHE DANCES OR SINGS WELL DOES NOT REALLY MATTER COS PEOPLE WILL STILL GET ADDICTED TO HER EXTREMELY CATCHY SONGS. SHE HAS 10 SOLD OUT LONDON SHOWS- CLEARLY PEOPLE DON’T CARE ABOUT HER LACK OF STAGE PRESENCE
I LOVE THIS GAME YOU NEED TO REALISE RIHANNA WILL WALK PAST YOU ON THE ROAD WITHOUT AN OUNCE OF CARE ABOUT WHO YOU ARE. STOP WASTING YOUR TIME & ENERGY STANNING HARD LIKE IT’S YOUR JOB + YOUR ADDICTION WITH SPEWING NEGATIVITY ON BEYONCE’S POSTS ARE VERY APPALLING. BEYONCE FANS ARE NO BETTER. THESE ARTISTS DO NOT KNOW YOU OR EVEN CARE ABOUT YOU, ALL THEY WANT IS YOUR MONEY
Thaaaaaaaaaaank you!!! It is mildly entertaining however to read the intense, hard core battle the fans/stans engage in but on the whole quite disturbing…moderation is the key smh
so true
don’t stop them… that is why I come to concreteloop…
I love all the songs my top favorites
“I care”
“miss you”
“Countdown” is the best also “love on top”
and “Party” is a dance songs for the ladies as well as men
“I was Here” should be on the radio
I will still buy the album because I love beyonce…
I HEARD THE ALBUM BUT I DIDNT DOWNLOAD IT LOL. She sang in full voice throughout most of the album and it was, to me, her best vocal showing. Whether you agree with the lyrics or not, you have to agree that she sang the he!! outta this album. She performed vocal acrobatics. Highlights for me are 1 + 1, I care (those whistles, hate or love her she blew like a flute), I Miss You, Best Thing (people will eventaully fall in love with this song), Party (90′s perfected), Rather Die Young (prolly the best she’s ever sang out full), Love on Top (unexpected delight), Countdown (a number 1 song), End of Time (Another number 1), I was here (summed up the album perfectly). Needless to say Im gonna buy it.
Co-sign no one out right now can sing or should I say sang like Bey lol….I will be getting this CD
I think that now days people are so into auto-tuned, bubble gum poppy music they wouldn’t know real music if it was on repeat on their radio. I listened to Beyonce’s new album and with the exception of Run The World (which I hated) I thought it was amazing. This is not a Sasha Fierce album it is a Beyonce album and this girl is singing her heart out on every track. Love On Top is the best song on the LP and Bey is going in on that song. I Care, I Was Here, Rather Die Young, Start Over….none of the Rihanna’s, or Katy Perry’s, Kesha’s or Keri Hilson’s, etc can sing those songs like Beyonce can. I am NOT a die hard Beyonce stan, but I will give credit where credit is due and Beyonce deserves it. This album was amazing, vocally she is the queen or should I say King B!!!!
Hey guys while we’re all here discussing singers feel free to take a look at this new UK artist whos definetely on the way up http://www.youtube.com/wa...ch?v=-hadqWC_L2Q&NR=1
Thanks!
I loved “Party” and “Countdown”
I downloaded the album and i must say that i think that this album is her best work to date… This album is not for the Fans of B’Day or Sasha Fierce… its for people that want to hear musicality, and dynamics…. As soon as i listened to it i thought that she would loose a bit of fan base and gain a whole other because all of those people that wanted to shake their asses to this album are left wanting more….
This album shows growth;
Vocally-she sings with a strength and certainty that we didn’t get with other albums. her notes are risky and musical choices are bolder than before…
Lyrically- The writing on this album trumps anything she’s ever done… there is a reference point in this album.. its not a collage of songs- it speaks about every aspect of love and relationships- (besides girls)…
Cohesively- The album flows beautifully until the final song… there is movement and transition from track to track….
ARTISTICALLY- these songs have pulled from her influences…(michael, prince, boys to men, dianna ross, tina turner, sade etc.) she takes these influences and makes them her own…anyone who feels otherwise is delusional…
Fav. songs= #countdown #endoftime #ICARE!!!! #Startover #Ratherdieyoung #party #imissyou….. ps.. i love the rest as well…lol
this album 4.5/5
Yes i did get the leak…my favorite song is Party…the rest of the album is garbage!
oh yeah and love on top is pretty good but it sounds like a MJ song….
Beyonce Jay-Z has Set you up so you would FLOP and come home and have His Babies!!!
of course I download, I need that money more than Beyonce!!!
Beyonce is played out now. Her songs are all repititous, and I’m not a hater, I give credit where it’s due. Now Rhianna is the shit, not comparing the two, but her last album is just crazy. And yes Beyonce does have lots of money, but she would not be where she is today if her skin were darker. If she take her weave and make-up off, she looks pathetic.
