After much speculation about who was confirmed to perform at this year’s BET Awards, just a week before the show is supposed to air live from Los Angeles at the Shrine Auditorium on June 26th, BET finally announced that both Beyoncé and Kelly Rowland are performing.
Although Beyoncé will not be physically at the awards, she will perform via satellite from Glastonbury in the UK, since she was scheduled to perform at the festival earlier this year.
In addition, Kelly Rowland will also give the first televised performance of her #1 single, “Motivation,” from her third studio album, Here I Am, which will hit stores exactly a month after the awards. Also slated to take the stage this year are Chris Brown, Trey Songz, Mary J. Blige, Jill Scott, Alicia Keys, and Drake.
The BET Awards will take place and air live on Sunday, June 26th from the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, California.
I just need to know what time Beyonce is performing so I can turn to BET real quick then turn back to whatever I’ll be watching.

Nope, not gonna happen. On the white fan sites she was just voted #2 favorite out of all the female artists (Katy was #1, Kelly wasn’t even on the list, Rih was like #9, Gaga #6 and Brit #4) and #9 for All Time Favorite Star which included everyone actors, musicians, etc. With that pull this album is going to do well and all the critics have said it’s her best to date (next to B’Day). Thankfully her white fans are waiting for it and they’re the buying public.

Oh trust me, they will be together eventually. Because, it’s been confirmed that both Kelly and Beyonce will be judges on the UK version of, “The X Factor.” I couldn’t believe it when I found that out recently! It’s interesting, because prior to Kelly being signed as a judge for the show, I NEVER heard Beyonce even mention that she’d like to be a judge on the show. Now, all of a sudden, she will be there as well. She may only appear on a few episodes to do some judging. I’m not sure if she will be an official judge. But, either way, it would have been cool to just see Kelly alone.

What song is Beyonce performing? I just heard her album recently and besides the semi-lackluster lyrics it’s actually a very good album. The singles the record chose however were completely wrong. The song “Countdown” should’ve been the lead single with a follow-up from 1+1. It would have only made sense. I guess it’s to late to back track, but they really ruined what could’ve been a great era for the Pop Tranny (King/Queen B)

I was thinking the same thing. If you’re going to perform at Glastonbury, you have to come hard! The only song on her new CD that goes hard outside of, “Countdown” (even though I can’t stand it), is, “Who Run The World (Girls)”. So, this may be the song that she will sing. If not, it may be, “Best Thing I Never Had” considering that this is her next single.

Kelly’s vocals and stage performance have gotten better, so I have no worries about her. BET wants the ratings that they can get off of Beyonce. She will smash it no matter what she sings. My biggest thing is the Patti tribute. Who will be performing will be key. Fantasia would be the best option as one, but still that leaves two other possible spots for performances (Patti will hopefully get on stage and tear it down). This year sounds promising, especially after two lackluster shows.
