After her first televised performance of her #1 single on last night’s BET Awards, Kelly Rowland took to her Twitter to reveal the album cover for her upcoming third studio album, Here I Am.
Kelly’s new album is slated to hit stores July 26th and it will be the her first release since 2007′s Miss Kelly.
Kelly has been hard at work on this new effort, with an all-star cast of writers and producers, ranging from Rico Love, Ester Dean, Stargate, Rodney Jerkins, David Guetta and many more. Seems like this could be shaping up to be Kelly’s biggest splash yet, especially with the Big Sean-assisted “Lay It On Me” cued up for the album’s second single.

I actually like it! Let’s hope the entire body of work is dope like “Motivation”, Kelly has a tendency to go AROUND THE WORLD with her songs. I don’t think she knows who she is as an artist yet, and it’s a shame cause she’s been in the industry for a minute. I almost feel like for Kelly to achieve all the success she can she needs to release two totally different projects, one for the US, and one for International outlets. Albums with entirely different material.

BECAUSE THE THEME IS “I AM”, AS IN “I AM GOD”. Nas had the same theme on his album cover for “I AM”, as did Will.I.Am on his self-titled album (as well as the owl of Molech on his cover), etc…..smdh. These witches are always looking directly into the camera on the album cover when they use the “I AM” theme. It is clearly a ritual. I don’t see why people cannot grasp this lol.

Well this is going to be a flop. Why hasnt her camp released a second single? I love Motivation however because its Kelly Rowland, that is not enough for me to purchase her album. The album title is boring and her album cover does not make a strong statement.
I really want Kelly to win however she never lines her cards up correctly. The scary thing about this flop is that no one can blame it on Matthew Knowles. She will have to own this one.

No, Kelly hasn’t had hits before. “Motivation” is her highest yet and it debut at # 54 on billboard and climbed the charts soon after. Kelly is FINALLY getting the due she deserves and people still finding ways to downplay her. You right Kelly’s fans are wishy washy and you are one of them. Since you LOVE you some Kelly go coped that “Here I Am” and do your part of being a TRUE Kelly fan and stop downplaying like the rest of these folks in this thread.

This album cover is very hot. Whoever said that it doesn’t make a strong statement needs to stop being so critical. Everything from the shade of the album cover, to the dramatic eye makeup and fierce facial expression, it’s dope. It’s a beautiful picture of Kelly and I am so glad that we have a female who is another shade of black in the music industry. I had to say that because there are like absolutely no dark skinned, female musicians who are successful/mainstream/crossover and that’s sad. “Here I Am” is the perfect album title because throughout Kelly’s career, it seemed like she was never taken seriously and was always in Beyonce’s shadow. Now she’s letting people know that she’s here to WORK and show people what she’s made of.
I can’t wait for the album to be released and Kelly’s team is smart for letting “Motivation” ride out as long as it can because Kelly said it’s finally crossing over to the pop radio stations.

I hope Kelly does well. I will buy her cd. Her song “Motivation” is the best song of 2011 and sounds better than most songs on Beyonce’s cd. I will buy Kelly’s cd for that one song! Beyonce’s cd will have to grow on me like the last one. I won’t say that I wouldn’t buy it,but not on tomorrow. Now, if Kelly’s cd come out tomorrow, I would have bought it because it seems like her cd will have better songs. I like Beyonce, but I don’t buy cd best on popularity and performance. I buy it because it would be something to pop in while I am driving to work, and I could listen through the entire cd. Not too many artists are doing that these days. As for a concert, I would go see B!

Although you’re totally right about the recurrence of the “I AM THEME”, OK. but how you gotta say all that nonsense about the fact that they all lookin at the camera and shit. Its a fuckin presentation theme, putting them face all up on the cover is the less they can do for that kind of delivery. I mean what else would you expect? A picture of a fucking ICE CREAM or a fucking DOG running in the STREETS for an “I AM” album cover, really? Man just cut it out!
