NEW MUSIC: DIGGY SIMMONS – “COPY, PASTE”

♫ Diggy Simmons – Copy, Paste

Diggy Simmons drops his first official single, “Copy, Paste.” He released the single back at the end of May on his official website, diggyworld.com, but it was made available on iTunes today.

While Diggy has gained a lot of success with his mixtapes, he is currently working on his debut album with his mentor, Pharrell Williams. No telling when Diggy’s album will drop, but Diggy hopes for a late summer release.

I LOVE THIS SONG…ITS AMAZING…ITS GREAT TO SEE HIM DO SOMETHING DIFFERENT THAN EXPECT OF ARTISTS OF HIS AGE…THIS SONG SHOWCASE SWAG AND MODERN RAP AT ITS BEST…HOWEVER, IT SOUNDS LIKE SOMETHING DRAKE WOULD RECORD, SO DIGGY DID YOU COPY AND PASTE DRAKE??? LOL NEVERTHELESS, DO YOUR THING! AS A FIRST SINGLE, I DON’T KNOW, IF YOU’RE LOOKING TO SELL OR BE ON THE TOP OF THE CHARTS, I WOULD RECOMMEND SOMETHING A LIL BIT MORE CATCHY AND EVEN MORE SWAGGED OUT (LIKE A FLOW ON A DAVID GUETTA BEAT OR TECHNO BEAT) OVERALL THE SONG WORKS FOR ME BUT FOR MUSIC AT ITS PRESENT TIME IT MAY NOT BE WHAT YOU SHOULD GO WITH AS YOU’RE FIRST SINGLE BUT IT MOST DEFINITELY SHOULD BE ON THE ALBUM!!!!!! I’M ROOTING FOR YOU DIGGY, UR UBER TALENTED!!!!!

  2. KinahB

Sounds like something Drake would do…not terrible but not that great either.

  3. THE TRUTH

Nice song. He can rap. His style is versatile. He is a respectable guy.

  4. nancy

I really this song, it gets two thumbs up!!!

  5. PorscheGirl

Sounds too similar to what we’ve heard before – Drake/Lil Wayne. Lyrics nothing special. Doesn’t showcase his flow. It’s a do over…this kid is much better than this!!!!

  6. Allen_J

It sounds like drake lil wayne and big sean especially on the second verse big sean all over the chorus is catchy tho

  7. TRP

I don’t like it, he can come way harder than that. I hate when rappers release mixtapes with more dope material than their official records. Hopefully this is not his first offering before his album drops.

  8. True Story

Nothing special. Sound like Drake and every other artist. In my opinion if it wasn’t for Rev Run he wouldn’t be here. Not hating, just saying….

  9. Kyla

    Hate the chorus.
    Don’t really like this.

  10. BUTTA

I AGREE WITH THE ABOVE. SOUNDS LIKE A DRAKE HIT AND DIGGY HAS HIS OWN STYLE/PERSONALITY SO HE SHOULD DEFINATELY DO HIM INSTEAD OF DOING WHAT EVERYONE ELSE EXPECTS! TO BE HONEST I WAS FEELING HIS LIL FLOW ON THAT CELL PHONE COMMERCIAL!

I like Diggy a lot. Song is catchy but it sounds like a lot of other stuff out there that we’ve heard. Diggy DO YOU…don’t let these non-creative, non-thinking dudes influence you.

  12. Black Pearl

Didn’t listen to the song and don’t care to. Poor Diggy. He looks like a Puff Daddy reincarnate in that pic. :( (

  13. Boa

That boy gonna look real nice when he grow up, cute song btw.

  14. SLIM

Not bad.. If I were 13 I’d be head over heels for this song.

I’m not hating, but I just don’t get this child at all. At the end of the day, and despite how much he raps about he’s doing it on his own, HE SURE AS HELL AINT. He’s not original either, just trying to take parts from each artist thats hot.

His “flow” is good but his raps and lyrics are average at most. You telling me if he didn’t have Simmons after his name he would be still signed taking into account the about of kids out there trying to be signed.

Come out with something original Diggy and I’ll respect it/you more.

why are all this people hating? This song itself is better than 3/4 of the shit that all other rappers produce. Plus its different from the others. Every lil wayne song is the same, talks about money, women, drugs and out of all his albums he probably on has like 10 good songs and all the others are add ons that are garbage.

  17. RR

its a good song commercially, this is exact wht the music execs wanna hear
