NEW MUSIC: DRAKE – “MARVIN’S ROOM”

♫ Drake – Marvin’s Room

Check out this brand new material from Drake, released on his website today. The track is titled “Marvin’s Room” (produced by Noah “40” Shebib) and it finds the Canadian native drunk dialing his girlfriend in an effort to tell her that her new boyfriend isn’t really what she needs.

Drake announced that in July, he will release a first single from his upcoming sophomore project, Take Care, which he hopes will hit stores October 24th.

You know there will be haters, but real talk…Drake is dope. One word…Substance. The cat is dripping with it and we should happy that there is an artist that steps outside the box with his music. He ain’t hard…gansta or a “G” He’s an artist and I’m a fan.

  3. dll32

    mediocre….and free so why complain

  4. THETRUTH

I dig it, a little on the mellow side but it’s cool. Good to see him finally put out some music.

  5. Mock Mocha

this is my kinda ish right here! Once again why i love Drake so….
    Haters do your thing ;)

  6. polly pocket

I can’t stop listening to it.

  7. Tellin U Like It Is

It sounds alright. It is mediocre. And i am NOT a hater that is my honest opinion about this track. He doesn’t come off as a “rapper” sometimes he needs to stop the T-Pain auto-tune crap he does. Arg!

    • jon

he doesnt use auto-tune you ****ing pu*sy

    • wellll....

i agree with the point you made about him not coming off as a “rapper”. he does sit on a line between rap and an actual singer. but his approach is different than that of lil wayne or rick ross and guys that nature. 1) as a person he’s a little more mellow/emotional than them. so this song fits his personality. just have an open mind with your defintion of “rapper” is all i’m saying. everyone doesn’t have to talk about/produce the same generic music. [and he doesn't use auto-tune. that's him. lol]

**and i dont think anyone paid attention to the possible release date of his album. that’s his birthday, cool. lol

  8. Prince

The song is great there is no denying that Drake does in fact have substance but I’m scratching my head at the unnecessary use of words like NIGGA and BITCHES continuously throughout the song, i dont know to me as a contemporary rapper or one who is so hyped up it is a stepback to early 2000 when that is all rappers said in their songs, but maybe its just me. Maybe no one has a problem with it…not even women who continued to be referred to as BITCHES by these rappers??? Come on, women are not female dogs so stop it! And his mom is white, did he envision her singing along to him to that line FUCK THAT NIGGA… at a concert??? Don’t just write anytime Drake, you’re a leader of your generation son, DO BETTER!!

  9. DEYDEY

DANG!!! This is a good song…LOVE IT. cant stop playing it either.

  10. 510510

Drake gets my panties wet no matter what.

  11. SlimJim

fuckin love Drake and his music. this reminds me of the octotber’s own mixtape which i loved

  12. Sharkiee

This song makes me think of the “So Far Gone” Drake…the Drake I feel in love with….

  13. BUY made in usa products

All I care for is that he sticks to RnB. This is his real lane. He sounds so so sexy in this genre. Do better Drake with RnB. Phuck the rap n omit the b-word AND THE N-WORD. Stop dissing females with that word. Stop disrespecting us so DO BETTER.

  14. tinkka !

i lovee this song. shout out to ymcmb ! i love drakee this beat is sickkk. this song is def everything and moreeee ! <333 i was in love the 1st 30 seconds ! <33

  15. Kyla

My man Drake. I heard people talking about how good this song was and I’m a little disappointed. I don’t really like it, the second half of the song was alright.

  16. My Thoughts

Just like everyone is saying Drake is a different kind of artist. He fits what he is and he tries not to be anything else. He is a melody kind of artist. he goes for melody and content, but you gotta be in it to know it. Can’t wait, but I’ll Take Care until then.

  17. What B*tch?

Is it me or is the girl saying “Are you drunk right now” in the song Rihanna? Listen carefully, that accent sounds too familiar!

  18. BOMB

I really dont like Drake much but this is a nice song. http://tiny.cc/bb13l

  19. NY-Superstar

Sorry it sounds like something he already did. When rape it sounds like he is saying one long sentence to me. I dont know maybe ita just me. I copped his last album but it was also mediocre….he is ok I guess hasn’t wowed me since his mixtape days..

  20. stop the hate

Drake’s Music Can Be Very Cheesy Sometimes But I Still Think He’s Talented

  21. dia

a lot of messages in that song, i luv Drakeeeeeeeee

  22. Ry

Dude comes with the hits at the right moments.

  23. B-More Rated for nuthin' but tha Goodness

I actually liked this song. I bought his last album. Rap nowadays is SO different than how it was when I grew up so I have to keep reminding myself of the era that I’m living in now is different than what I know rap and hip hop to be. I like the vibe of this song and his approach. Dude is forever loving on a chick and expressing how he lost her or he gotta be with her…a confession of sorts. I enjoyed it.

  24. Boolacula

Wacktastic. Sorry, Drake. The hook alone is making me wanna errl.

  25. Nathalee

ilove this songg ilove this songg ilove this songg !

  26. Sarah Vaughan

Maybe I missed it but why is this called Marvin’s Room?

  27. Datsyagurl

Damn, that song is D.O.P.E!! But his face is so hilarious on the pic…

  28. tatis

I really feel this song. It’s something guys go through a lot .that call up the girl they always loved all drunk and stuff. I really felt this song. Real stuff. And about the bitches and nigas he uses i think its just a normal thing for rappers. The way he uses bitches in the song is talking about hos and girls he’s been around wit while he’s been thinking of her. So I kinda see why he calls them bitches. Cuz there just hos that been fking around with him.

  29. DaniNicole

This song is the best song ive herd in a long time, hip hop has changed alot, but I feel this song goes back to the roots of good music, Drake is a one of a kind and I expect noting but the best when This album drops.<3 <3

  30. marques

  33. C.C

Mono-toned and auto-tuned lol. So wack, I’m not even not even getting the hype with this song. As usual he sounded lost and confused. And I agree with NY-Superstar, all his songs sound the same. Like he made a 5 hour track and cutting the singing into other songs. How many times I gotta hear ‘uh’ in his song like he forgot what he was doing. I like his other stuff but this just sucks.

  34. brian nelson

    raw ass song foreal
