Just days after a mention in our new music review, singer Mario releases a brand new single, “My Bed.”
The Christopher “Deep” Henderson and Tony “Chef Tone” Scales-produced track is the first single lifted from Mario’s currently untitled fifth studio album. This will be Mario’s first album since 2009′s D.N.A. No official word on when the album will drop, but with a single out now, it seems as though we can look for something late this summer.
Soul/jazz singer Amy Winehouse kicked off her long-awaited comeback tour on Sunday evening in Belgrade, Serbia. With just 3 weeks out of rehab, the English-native gave painful performances of songs from her previous albums Frank and Back to Black. The 27 year-old Grammy-winning artist could barely keep her balance as she fumbled through the lyrics of her songs. Eventually the audience booed her off stage.
As a result, Winehouse has canceled the rest of her 12-stop European summer concert tour and scrapped all public performances. Her spokesperson, Chris Goodman issued a statement today:
[Amy Winehouse] is withdrawing from all scheduled performances. Everyone involved wishes to do everything they can to help her return to her best and she will be given as long as it takes for this to happen. [Source]
I must admit, she does look better than the last time we saw her before rehab. I just hope she gets her life and career in order. We need some more great music from her…Peep the clip below…Even her band members are laughing at her…smh…

Dawn Richard seems to be releasing solo material at a rapid rate, considering that we just posted a new track for her earlier this week.
This time, she takes a stab at Frank Ocean’s hit, “Novacane,” from his street album, Nostalgia/Ultra, which is being retooled and slated to hit stores soon.
Television personality LaLa Anthony is gracing the cover of the premiere issue of Pynk Magazine. In the international publication, she talks about being offered the opportunity to join the cast of Vh1′s Basketball Wives. Peep a little snippet below as well as spread pictures from multicultural magazine:
On the VH1 reality show, Basketball Wives:
“I was offered a spot on the show. I turned it down. I have absolutely nothing against basketball wives, the show Basketball Wives, or anything like that. But I pride myself in being more than just a basketball wife. I understand that’s something that I am, but that’s not a title that I want to define me. I’d rather be known as a mom, a businesswoman, a producer, an actress, a TV host. I just felt like that didn’t fit who I was and where my career was trying to go.”
On being referred to as The First Lady Of New York:
“I kind of laugh when people say it. It’s an honor to be called [The First Lady Of New York.] For people to even put us in the same category as Jay-Z and Beyonce — that’s just an honor in itself, but I don’t deal well with titles. To me, actions speak more than anything. It’s about being in New York now and being active, as New Yorker’s get active in the community. And getting out there and showing people what we are about outside of our businesses, with philanthropy and different things like that. That’s how you prove who you really are. You can be given a label and a title but what does that mean when there is nothing behind it? So for us, it’s about really embracing the city of New York. We kind of rushed and got here quickly, but now that we are settling in we’re starting to get out there and do some charity work and let people really see what we’re about as individuals, and as a couple.”
