Ethiopian model/actress/humanitarian Liya Kebede has been chosen as the newest spokesperson for the international cosmetic brand, L’Oreal Paris. The 33 year-old mother of two has appeared on several high-fashion covers and has been nominated as a Goodwill Ambassador for the World Health Organization (WHO), an organization dedicated to the improvement of maternal, neonatal and infant health care:
“It is important for me that I represent a brand that reflects my personality. I’m pleased to play a part in sharing the uniqueness, the charisma, and the incredible stories of women of all origins and from all regions of the world.”[Source]
What you may not know is that she has established the Liya Kebede Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to raising money for the Durame Hospital in Awassa, Ethiopia. Congratulations to her!
