On Wednesday evening, Alicia Keys held her annual Keep A Child Alive Foundation Fundraiser in London. Among those who performed were Tinie Tempah, Mark Ronson, Jay Sean and Chipmunk. However, pop singer George Michael was a no-show for his performance of his 1987 hit single, “Faith” due to a tooth infection.
According to Rap-Up, Ms. Keys took her disappointment to the Twitter streets:
“#Blackball Uk was a TREMENDOUS Success!!!!”…then she asked, “but one question…..what kind of person bails on 15million orphans…..#GEORGEMICHEAL???? ;-(.”[Source]
We’re guessing Alicia didn’t get the memo in time because Michael tweeted about his health situation and how the side of his face looks like “a hairy football”:
“Hi boyz n girls….bad news im afraid…This tooth ain’t getting better in time for tonight, not enough to sing anyway…[...] I’m really sorry folks. You watch, it’ll be totally fine by tomorrow. Bloody typical…I hope not too many of my lovelies managed to grab a ticket. Of course I’d recommend going anyway, Alicia is great live, and @KeepaChildAlive is great charity to donate to.” [Source]
Alicia’s publicist had her delete that tweet w/ the quickness!
