MOVIE NEWS: WINNIE MANDELA UPSET ABOUT UPCOMING FILM STARRING JENNIFER HUDSON

Nearly one year after it was made known that Jennifer Hudson would star in a biopic based on the life of Winnie Madikizela-Mandela, the 2nd former wife of activist and former South African president Nelson Mandela, addressed her lack of support for the completed film. In an interview with CNN, the 74 year-old called the filmed biopic ‘disrespectful’ and ‘an insult’:

I have absolutely nothing against Jennifer, but I have everything against the movie itself. I was not consulted. I am still alive. I think that it is total disrespect to come to South Africa, make a movie about my struggle and call that movie some translation of a romantic life of Winnie Mandela. I think it is an insult. I don’t know what would be romantic in our struggle.”

The former First Lady went on to say that there is no way someone can just know the emotions and thoughts of what she experienced during the time of civil and social inequality.

CL TOPIC: BISHOP EDDIE LONG UPDATE + SHERRI SHEPARD GOES IN ON HIM! – SHOULD CHURCH MEMBERS FINANCE FORGIVENESS?

According to the ReddingNewsReview.com, New Birth Missionary Baptist Church pastor Bishop Eddie Long has settled out of court and has agreed to pay $24.8M to the four young males who accused him of sexually molesting them:

The source, who claims to be familiar with the details of the settlement and did not wish to be identified, said that Long refused to give a public apology, which ended up costing him more.

What began as a $2 million agreement to settle the case for each of the four men quickly rose to $5.5 million for the respective plaintiffs, the source said, only because Long refused to publicly admit guilt.

The men are to divide $2.2 million equally and then receive $400,000 in payments until the money is paid out over the next 20 years, the source said. The final figure comes to $22 million for the four men and $2.8 million for the plaintiffs attorneys.

Reports say his congregation and church goers are slowly depleting in number, including his former elder Rev. Bernice King. It is also said that Mr. Long has asked his church members for donations of up to $500-$1000 in an effort to expand the mega institution into the cities of Denver, CO & Birmingham, AL.

Television personality Sherri Shepard of ABC’s The View spoke on the topic earlier this week and practically bashed Bishop Eddie Long for his apparent actions of guilt
