Lala Vazquez was all smiles as she was honored with a handprint ceremony at Planet Hollywood’s Time Square. The 31 year-old actress/tv personality was also there to promote the second season of her reality television show, La La’s Full Court Life, which is set to air on August 22nd on VH1.
After releasing a rather graphic music video for her latest single, “Man Down”, the Parents Television Council are not at all pleased with the visual depiction of Rihanna‘s song, saying the video showed a “cold, calculated execution of murder”, according to TMZ:
The council is outraged that Rihanna would suggest that gunning down a rapist in a crowded train station is a proper form of justice. “If Chris Brown shot a woman in his new video and BET premiered it, the world would stop. Rihanna should not get a pass …”
Oop! The PTC is even more upset that the pop star tweeted to her fans saying that her video has “a very strong underlying message 4 girls like me.” Dang. In all honesty, I was surprised how graphic the video was. Wonder if Rihanna & co. thought it would receive this type of backlash? Thoughts?
