Drake releases video for his new track, “Marvin’s Room.” Although not a single, fans seem to have really taken to the song, as well as industry peers, considering that huge response of remixes that Drake has gotten.
It’s been nearly 3 years since Beyoncé has released any new music. She had been laying low, spending time experiencing life in order to gather inspiration for her fourth studio album, appropriately titled 4.
After the success of her third studio album I Am… Sasha Fierce and a successful world tour, Beyoncé took some time off to enjoy married life and freedom. Even while on break, producers would boast in interviews about what was to come of her fourth studio project, proclaiming that Beyoncé was solidifying her own lane and her own sound.
The first taste we got of the album was the lead single, “Run the World (Girls).” With high anticipation, and even with it’s high budget video and high profile premiere, fans still had mixed reviews. But truthfully, the album’s first single is not reflective of the rest of it’s material.
Beyonce held an exclusive album launch concert at London’s Sheperds Bush Empire on Monday night in promotion for her latest album, 4. The star-studded event had appearances by her husband Jay-Z, good friend Gwyneth Paltrow and even singer Adele. According to the Hip Hop Chronicle UK, there was no set list and Beyonce was taking cues from the crowd.
After her first televised performance of her #1 single on last night’s BET Awards, Kelly Rowland took to her Twitter to reveal the album cover for her upcoming third studio album, Here I Am.
Kelly’s new album is slated to hit stores July 26th and it will be the her first release since 2007′s Miss Kelly.
Kelly has been hard at work on this new effort, with an all-star cast of writers and producers, ranging from Rico Love, Ester Dean, Stargate, Rodney Jerkins, David Guetta and many more. Seems like this could be shaping up to be Kelly’s biggest splash yet, especially with the Big Sean-assisted “Lay It On Me” cued up for the album’s second single.
