This is the end of her set…If you saw the beginning you woulda saw the James Brown/Little Richard inspired part of her performance. Her so called “white antics” look like her catching the holy ghost(black church) and the song is called “Come Alive”. With lyrics such as “like a schizo running wild thats when I come alive”. Seems to me like she’s just in the character of the lyrics….lighten up. Did yall even the notice the fact that her voice is STILL amazing?

Janelle Monae is hands down AMAZING! And if you dont know how truly African American her performance art is I recommend you watch a little something called Thats Black Entertainment. Learn Something. Like where Elvis Presley got his sound from! Or How Rock and Roll was born!
She is so fun to watch, and for the person that stated white antics please it went with the song. Girl has talent and she can sing. She’s truly an underrated artist. I hope she starts getting the shine she truly deserves. She’s in her own lane. There’s nobody out there like her. Getem Jonelle.

VOGUE didn’t have an issue with her look when they featured her in their magazine 3 times….i guess because she isn’t dishing out half ass music with the same beats and vibe as the next, wearing next to nothing costumes && singing/making music about sex, running the world & more sex. if ppl would stop being such STANS to these artist that dish out crap all the time, they wouldn’t be turned off by such RAW, REAL TALENT such as Janelle Monae…..&& her voice is weak? Will people quit talking about her suit? Obviously she wears the same suit for a reason. She’s extremely talented and toured with Katy Perry (weird right?) and Bruno Mars so she’s getting paid/makes a nice living; she can afford new clothes but this is her signature look and her uniform.
Janelle Monae is crazy talented and is one of the best performers of our generation; there aren’t too many. She just needs to work on the pitch of her voice when singing live and needs better choreography. I love how she’s so liberated and lively onstage, but she needs to find a balance between insane and just amazement. She did a bit too much.
This was an amazing performance, She is a PURE ARTiST !!!!! She is james brown, chuck berry, prince, funkadelics, billy holiday, etc. REAL entertainer.
Janelle is SO talented. I actually got the pleasure of meeting her. She is so quiet, proper, and soft spoken in person. But when she hits the stage she becomes another person! She is SO polite and down-to-earth. BUT most of all TALENTED!! <3
And futhermore, to everyone talking about her about her wardrobe. I think what Janelle is doing on that matter is GREAT! She wants her audience to become fans not because of her SEX APPEAL or what she’s “wearing” or who for that fact. But to listen; REALLY listen to what she’s saying in her songs and her lyrics. #EnoughSaid

What an incredible performance! The work and talent involved was fantastic. I’ve watched many many bands/ acts over the last 30 years in all different genres and this note me away. If you can drag your head out of your ass and see some light you may see a glimpse of the same thing! Close mouth, open senses.

The performance of the glastonbury weekend for me and id never heard of her before saturday night!. I just watched a performer hit the big time, she is gonna go into orbit from now on and she deserves every success!
