In the next episode of VH1′s Single Ladies, Val (Stacey Dash) and April (Charity Shea) accompany Keisha (Lisa Raye) to a party at a cigar club where Keisha meets the wealthy, well-educated Dr. Nolan Gifford played by former Grey’s Anatomy cast member, Isaiah Washington.

This is a great scripted show – it’s a black soap opera.
Lisa Raye is “Diamond” in every act that she play.. She could really benefit from some acting classes.. I think I have had enough of her already… She is the reason I flip the channel on this show.. I could only watch five minutes.. She is always curving up her lips.. ANNOYING…She kills me softly, and has become hard to watch.. I don’t knock the gring in her but this is one cougar that should change her stipes? Reinvent herself or something.. aND SHE RUN HER MOUTH TOO MUCH SHE NEEDS TO STICK A CORK IN IT.. nOBODY CARES ABOUT HER FAILED MARRIAGE..

I like the show! It seems like a book turned into a tv show series. The white chick April reminds me of Tyson Beckfords baby mama…the white chick from that show “Candy girl” that was on E! Network.
Acting not that impressive, but the story line is great!
The show is cute but Lisa-Raye is miscast. I mean damn they couldn’t get Megan Goode? It’s not like she’s doing anything but club hopping every night.

Highly agreed. I thought I would like this show but its just another typical show about women being desperate over men, drama filled and gold digger approved. And its so funny how LISA is not too different from Keisha. while watching the show I was still trying to figure out if shes playin herself or somebody else because she makes it very diffulcult to seperate the two. I think Sex & The City was more classier then this.
had me up until you said sex in the city was classier… i love sex in the city but who can be more desperate than carrie, and a bigger whore than samantha… really??? they had more one night stands than the averager dude… classy wouldn’t be the word to use…

I agree. SATC was way more classy. I remember watching a promo clip for “Single Ladies” and Lisa Ray’s character had directly quoted something that I remmebered Samantha – Kim Cattrell’s chsracter saying on SATC. That’s when I KNEW I couldn’t watch this mess. I just hate it when black people try to recreate a successful show/movie that has already been done by whites. It comes off so damn tacky and lacks creativity that I know our people are capabale of. Smh…

I’m also amazed at people who take time to read and then comment on things they dont like. If you have decided you dont like the show..shut up and keep moving. The acting is horrible on this show especially Stacey Dash. I think vivica fox or someone else should replace her. Its still entertaining though.
