Drake released some new material and both JoJo and Teyana Taylor decided to give their renditions of the ode to drunk dialing, “Marvin’s Room,” produced by Noah “40” Shebib.
The two are both hard at work on their upcoming projects. JoJo is currently working on her third studio album, Jumping Trains, which will hit stores later this year and Teyana has been working on her long-awaited debut album in Los Angeles.

Teyana’s is good. but too intricate and you should *never* attempt to do Lauren Hill. There was just too much going on. Jojo’s is simple and to the point. Her’s was amazing.

I think there’s a tiny bit of hate going on as far as Teyanna goes. Her version is clearly better. She harmonizes the words better than JoJo. Never heard NEITHER of them sing until right now, and I just felt Teyanna’s better. JoJo’s was good, too, but Teyanna’s was just more melodic.
my thoughts exactly.. there were about 4 different melodies goin on in one song then the lauryn hill at the end kinda earned her a side eye bc i heard about it before a heard the song. nd like any other legend if your gonna cover them u have to kill it. it was a lil half a$$ed sticking that in the end.

I wish People would actually listen to Teyana’s vocals and the lyrics of the song instead of automatically putting it up against JoJo’s eventhough i love her version too. I think its kinda unfair/biased to make an uneven comparison like that. I mean 5 days vs 2 days, it goes without saying that more days is going to equate more views. Now I’m not going to lie from the looks of it JoJo will more than likely have more views than Teyana will in 5 days, but I think the comparison should at least be equal. I’m riding with JoJo on this one. TT made an effort but her runs where all over the place. JoJo showed us emotional strength with vocal control. Her lyrics were real deep.

Yeah but Jojo going overboard and sounding bitter. Sending your ex naked pics of yourself isn’t something I’ve done or related to, but I have related to being heartbroken over an ex, so that’s why I feel Teyana’s version better. Jojo obviously has the better voice but the lyrics are not even as good compared to Teyana’s. Teyana suprised me with her emotion and lyrics. I connected with her more.

JoJo. Teyana was good, JoJo was vocally superior and did a good job at singing her emotions. Yes she is bitter, and this song (as mentioned, or implied) she was intoxicated. This song was a moment of desperation and bitterness, and she did it well. Teyana was more of an ode to the broken heart Teyana did amazing though, just for me, JoJo did it better.

I didn’t care for either version. JoJo sounded way better but WTF with all of the disgusting cussing? That’s why I really don’t like JoJo. I knew when she hit 18 she’d be going down the” I’m grown and can sell sex and cuss now” road. If you’re going to use bad words, keep it to a minimum and use them “appropriately” lol! Ok I think people on here are confusing good singing with over singing. Teyana is a great singer (I’m a vocal coach in NYC btw) but she clearly over sang the song. He vocals are all over the place and she quite frankly over shadowed the melodic tone of the song. Its a shame to because shes quite talented. Jojo’s was delivered effortlessly and complimented the musical arrangment nicely. Even Drake said that hers was the best…and her wrote it.
