Beyonce walked in through the back door, dressed down and avoided taking pictures just so the attention would be on my girl Kelly yet folks still ain’t satisfied. In my opinion, beyonce should not have done that at all. I think it’s so sickening that she has to limit herself just because of kelly. Not her fault though, it’s society and the way they’ve made kelly her sidekick- someone who is inferior to beyonce, which is false. When it comes to DC, every award and recognition is shared b/w all members! Kelly’s solo career might not be as big as beyonce’s but that doesn’t make her less talented. We need to do better. Lastly, fans of Kelly do not understand that by saying things like beyonce is selfish, she’s stealing kelly’s shine. It only makes the situation seem like unless beyonce is nowhere to be found, her friend cant succeed

The media/white people have brainwashed everyone into thinking there can only be 1 top black female artist at a time. Models have this same issue. I wonder if white artists’ fans have these same arguments. Maybe so, but as a people, we need to support every African American artist that is having the least bit of success.
