And dead at you for mentionning 4 when it was released just a few days ago, Beyoncé and Alicia have 4 million albums in difference, without counting 4 which was just released, Bey 24 and AK 29! That’s your opinion that the album was bad, but many actually liked the content and loved this album as a whole. Also don’t get angry at Bey, because CL is throwing shade (intended or not) at Adele. Adele has had success since the beginning of the year, and she will continue to have it. So will Beyonce. Get over it.
Beyonce’s #1 was to be expected, no matter what people say about the girl she is an incredible vocalist and performer. There are not many active artist in the industry who can perform as well as Beyonce. I think the project would have done much better with a stronger single “Run The World” was a little too mediocre/immature for her and honestly I don’t think it should even be on the album. If “Countdown” came out as the first single, I can guarantee it would of done better. Let’s just hope they let go of “Best Thing I Never Had”, and move on with “Countdown”.

Lsten to 1+1 in stereo, pay attention to Bey’s voice & the background music especially at the end…lovely! I was prepared to not like & not purchase 4 after hearing snippets online. But since I bought a copy, I absolutely love some of the music. 1+1 alone makes me want to have love (again)deep enough to match that song! Go Bey!

I don’t want to be rude, but that is really a matter of opinion. Not everybody is going to like everything, but you can’t discredit the artist. Adele isn’t going to be at the top forever as we see with every artist, so you shouldn’t equate her quality of music to it’s location on the charts. In addition they bring completely two different musical elements how can you even begin to say one is better than the other? Especially when they both respect each other’s musicality, why can’t you?

I don’t understand why we simplify our artist down to numbers? This was a great album and I don’t understand why people say she is making the same type of music, when she clearly is not. I think those people have not listened to the new CD, therefore can’t make accurate conclusions.In addition if you are gonna jump down her throat for making pop music (this album is heavily the opossite), why not jump down Kelly’s too. They sampled her CD on amazon and it’s pop, with the loud over bearing beats and synthesizers and basic vocals.

I dont see how it was a “brighter” note when Adele’s album has been out for months, so I dont really understand why the comparison was made. Never the less, own all of Beyonce’s album and I absolutely love 4. RTW doesnt go with the rest of the album but its still fun to Jam to. One of the best parts about 4 is thinking of how Beyonce is gonna rock some of the songs live!

I’m a fan of Adele but you should actually do your research before claiming that CL is lying! I’ve read elsewhere that on the *first* day Beyonce sold more than Adele did on her first day, or something of the sort. Don’t make assumptions!
You stans are so stupid. Of course her album was going to go number 1…. it’s Beyonce and she’s been doing a whole lot of promotion! People only bought the album because of who she is. Her singles are flopping so hard on the charts worldwide. “Best Thing I Never Had” is doing good in the UK, but that’s it. After a few weeks, the album will drastically decline on the charts. I listened to the album, and it’s very weak. It’s so everywhere. How are you going to have contemporary afro-beat singles, with sampled 80′s electronic singles, and some pop ballads, slow R&B jams, and a couple of R&B/Hip-Hop joints? I was like wtf when I heard singles like Dance for You, Countdown, Party, Schoolin Life, and Love on Top. It didnt fit.
I like Until the End of Time, GRTW grew on me, I Care, Best Thing I Never Had is okay and Rather Die Young is okay but sounds so old. The only people who would be feeling this album are the mid 20 to 50 crowd. I will admit that many of her singles have better and mature lyrics than her previous albums, and Im glad she didnt take the safe route and do electro-pop, dance-pop, techno-pop like the rest of music artists, but she just proved again that she doesnt make good albums.
On a better note. Kelly’s “Here I Am” hits stores July 26! OMG can’t wait to cop it. She got samples of her songs on amazon right nowand it’s hot as hell. It’s very contemporary R&B that can easily crossover to mainstream! BTW, Kelly looked amazing in the interview up above.
