MUSIC NEWS: EMILY KING RELEASES ‘THE SEVEN EP’ + NEW SONG “DOWN”

July 13th, 2011

♫ Emily King – Down

Singer/songwriter Emily King is back with new music! Some of you may remember her debut album, East Side Story which was released back in 2007.

The album received some critical acclaim (including a Grammy nomination) and her songs “U & I” and “Walk In My Shoes” also garnered her a cult following internationally. She has since parted ways with J Records and is now doing her own thing independently. Check out one of her newest songs “Down” above and make sure to support the new “Seven EP’ (it’s only 7 bucks!)

I paid $32.67 for a XBOX 360 and my mom got a 17 inch Toshiba laptop for $94.83
being delivered to our house tomorrow by FedEX. I will never again pay expensive
retail prices at stores. I even sold a 46 inch HDTV to my boss for $650 and it
only cost me $52.78 to get. Here is the website we using to get all this stuff,

Absolutely the bomb.com. I am so happy to hear REAL MUSIC again! Truly a like a breath of fresh air. Emily is a true artist and can teach a lot of these other so called singers a thing or two. You can tell the difference in those who write their own (ie. Neyo) and those who rather go after trends and sound a hot mess (too many to name). Congrats Emily! I am buying the album now! And congrats to Concrete Loop for highlighting real talent to the masses. For that reason, I will always be a loyal supporter!

I agree there are way TOO MANY people who sound like a hawt mess. I am so pleased to hear that she is an independent artist if you want to do it your way that’s the best route. She is mad talented it is such a shame we hear the same old naked artist who want to be called “singers” *coughs* (Rihanna, Ke$ha, Britney Spears, Gaga) The list is endless I can’t wait to listen to her EP and I can’t wait for Teedra Moses to come back on the scene.

Elaborate on what “real” music is please cause I get confused every damn time someone says that
Emily is soo talented. Hey you can’t have the same name as me and not be LOL

She is soo extremely refreshing, with the surge of artist (like her, the adeles etc), shows that real music will always trump bubblegum.. The more the general population’s consciousness heightens the more artist like these ladies will rise to the top once again like the 50s 60s and 70s.

I am so glad Ms Emily is back!!! J Records never promoted her record and it is so sad because her album was and is fantastic. I enoyed every track. That album is timeless in my opinion.Yay can wait to purchase ep.Dig the cut too.

Thanks for the heads up! I was hoping that the bad experience she had with her album hadn’t run her from the industry – going to Amazon to download the album right now.
