WTH is Kelly & her team thinking? They have basically ran Motivation into the ground. Here it is 2weeks until the album drops and no 2nd single is on the radio & there’s no video for it either. People in the US are FINALLY interested in Kelly this go round & her team is about to drop the ball again! I mean seriously… do they really think her album is going to sale because she had 1 hit song and did an ok performance on BET?…. WHERES THE PUSH?
I agree, by now she should have already had 2nd single and video and a third song playing on the radio. I don’t know what her team is doing. She won’t make it.
I think she will be ight. They’re smart because they’re walking the album. Walking the album is a very good thing because it makes the album relevant longer. They used to do it back in the day, I remember they walked the HELL outta Janet Jackson’s Rhythm Nation 1814. Ended up getting certified 6x Platinum in the US alone.
I LOVE Kelly to death but honestly she is not the type of artist that can “walk an album”. & even after listening to the snippets I wouldnt call it a walk, might be a light stroll…. lets face it we are in a different type of era when it comes to selling albums. You must strike while the iron is HOT, or get left in the cold.

The regular version is really good. The album is a solid effort. If you want more bang for your buck go with the deluxe version. Kelly’s cd sounds good.I can actually listen to every track, and I’ve had that experience in a very long time from the women (keshia cole, beyonce’s dangerous in love/bday, mary jane old cd, ashanti,) are a few! I hope people won’t sleep on her. Her team isn’t doing her any justice. She should have dropped another video to make people want more as someone mention earlier. What sell music is videos. I need another video from her even though I will be purchasing the cd.

I expected more, if anything she should have prevented the song “Smooches” from leaking cause that could have been an excellent follow-up single. That tech-club sound is kinda dying. I hope the deluxe version has more songs we have not heard, not just a bunch of remixes. Sad to say though I hate to compare, but Beyonce had a better sound. Kelly’ album sounds very….regular not stand-outs from the previews. July 26th or 28th whatever will tell.

I agree with what mostly everybody else has said, Kelly should’ve definitely “at least” been on single number two right now. I am still rooting for her and want her to do well but come on MISS KELLY! The USA is finally finding you relevant again AND Beyonce’s album just came out, this is YOUR time to shine but her and her promotions team is slacking. The BET awards would’ve been an excellent time for her to perform/promote her next single. IMO, she has drained the shit out of Motivation. Seems like she has a guest rapper on dang nea every song abd about time she comes purring in she seems like nothing more than a featured chorus singer or the hype man. Not feeling this mess. And what’s up with all this “I’m on Team Kelly” mess? Is this a high school cheerleading contest? Who’s she supposed to be competing against?

This album was well put together, what are you guys talking about? Beyonce’s album sounds a mess and is everywhere so how is her album better than Kelly’s? Kelly is her own person and has finally found a sound that works well for her and the US. There are many songs on there that are single material. My favs so far are “Turn it Up,” “Down for Whatever,” “Keep it Between Us,” “I’m Dat Chick,” and “Each Other.” People praised Keri Hilson, I mean Skeri Flopson’s album on here like it was good when it sounded like a bunch of bubblegum, childish, hoodrat/poppish mess! And don’t get me started on Ciara’s, I mean CERROR’s horrid, ghetto, uninspiring, shallow album!
Kelly said she was shooting the Lay it On Me video next week, the week before the BET Awards, so Im sure shell release it soon. She should release it by the end of this week. The reason why Motivation is still on rotation is because its actually still crossing over to mainstream, Kelly even said this herself. Plus, many of her fans who have been waiting all these years know she has an album releasing so her old and new fans will definitely cop the album the first week.
It’s perfectly ok to like Kelly, but you now damn well she is a brown skin Ashanti…..Where were u here last 2 solo efforts that FLOPPED? I think the CD overall sounds OK. I personally liked her Ms. Kelly & Her first CD’s respectfully. Not too sure about this one, but a couple of songs sounded somewhat decent outside of the “Motivation” single.

First off let me start off by saying that I have been a Kelly Rowland fan since the early DC days and been riding the solo train with her since 2000 when she was featured on Avant’s remix “Separated”. To me she always stood out to me and her voice is pure gold – the way she connects with her songs (no matter the genre) is still unmatched to this day. She makes you beleive whatever she sings and you dont see that everyday. She makes music thats true to her and isnt just looking for a quick hit.
As for her acheivements, she has sold over 4 millions albums and well over 10 millions singles – 5 grammys – more awards to boot.
6 Hot 100 Top 40s (1 solo (stole) 2 lead (like this/motivation) 3 featured (delimma/here we go/separated)5 Top 10 R&B (stole/like this/motivation/delimma/here we go/separated).

This album is exactly what it needs to be and it represents Kelly fully – Its basically a musical representation of who she is as a person. Rooted in R&B with splashes of Pop and Dance which is exactly who kelly is. For the haters who continue to throw shade its all good – you guys will probably end up downloading it anyway and for the people who wanted more dance – don’t forget the deluxe version has 2 more tracks and I can vouch personally that “Each Other” is pure sonic fire.
She has something for everyone really.

What else do u really want. Seriously. Plus the obvious reason for the majority of the RnB tracks is because A – it takes her back to her roots and B – all of her core rnb fans kept saying that kelly abandoned them when she went “dance” so she is trying to reconnect with them plus she already has 12 top 40s in the UK – they love her and she knows it – now she is trying to expand her urban fan base. The only real rnb songs she has released is “Separated/Delimma/Like This/Motivation”. She is kinda playing catch up with the her urban fan base (who shouldve copped Ms Kelly if it was that serious)
All in all I am very suprised at how much im lovin this album. When I first saw the tracklist I was kinda disappointed when I saw it was only 10 tracks and 12 with the deluxe but truth be told, Id rather have a cd with 12 hot tracks then and cd with 17 songs that 6 i have to skip over!
Ms Kelly did that with a nice blend of rnb and dance with a balld or two – Kelly Rowland to the core and I cant wait to get my copy of the deluxe version!!!
