The 29 year-old entertainer performed singles from her 4 album like “End of Time,” “Rather Die Young,” and “Run the World (Girls)”. Peep a few videos from her sold out Sunday-night show. Speaking of Ms. Tina, new promo pics for her and Beyonce’s clothing line House of Dereon, have made their way to the net! Word on the street is that House of Dereon will be launching in the UK at London’s Selfridges for the first time in September:
The look for the House of Dereon autumn/winter 2011 collection is inspired by their idea of a “city jungle” with leopard, snake and African rose prints, which blend “tribal cues with edgy silhouettes”, and prices start at around 80 pounds for a dress. “The combination of colours, exotic prints and silhouettes make for a cohesive collection with tremendous appeal,” the Telegraph quoted Tina Knowles as saying. Went to the show last night…made us wait in the rain for at least an hour after the start time on the tickets before letting folks in, line was wrapped all the way to 8th Ave & 52nd around the buliding. Clearly they didn’t sell at capacity, it just didn’t seem like it was close to the almost 4K at Roseland they can hold, maybe half of that. She sounded good and did good as usual, I think it was totally worth the $99 the tickets went for, I mean, she usually wants like $200 and up for floor seats alone at MSG, and no matter where you stood it was a good seat. Told us no flash photography, etc. ’cause the signs said it was being taped for TV so prolly a special airing soon, wouldn’t be surprised if it’s another ABC Thanksgiving special. Great show.

Never been to a Bey Concert and Never wanted to. She is talented but extremely overrated in my opinion. So I stick to enjoying the Mary J , Jill Scott, Janet Jackson A keys and a few other concerts. But I heard her show was amazing.

I’m sorry but Janet hardly ever actually sings during her live performances. I’ve never seen Beyonce live but I’ve watched a ton of videos of live performances and I hope that I get to see her in person one day. I think her performances are great, she is definitely one of the best overall performers and certainly the best contemporary performer in my opinion. She’s not overrated at all, she holds up to her reputation.

This is not the official tour…..i am sure when it starts in December, it would be held at bigger venues just like her past tours. I was there and she killed it as usual…..if anyone has anything negative to say, it’s not an opinion, it’s pure hate because the girl is badd and she works hard for her moola. She is the best entertainer of our day, like it or not. She murdered the whole set…I wanted an encore!
Who would wear this? I am 29 as well, but where would I wear an outfit like this to? We are expected to be role models for our young girls (8-17) and then we wear this and it sends a mix/negative message. So, when you see a young 15 year wearing this outfit on the street don’t “hate” on her because she saw it on Beyonce first.
While I agree you should be mindful of what you endorse and what you say as an entertainer or public figure, at the end of the day, you’re not supposed to wear or look like the average individual walking down the street. So, why would you or a fifteen year old wear this?

I wouldn’t wear this outfit or anything that would give the wrong idea of something else that is not me (I have an image to uphold) However, young girls/teenagers do mimic what they see on TV/videos (YOUTUBE -little girl singing Beyonce’s Put A Ring on It, if it is so easy to sing a song how easy would it be to say I want to wear hot pants, heels and mid drift top). Just like video games have parental guidance, TV and music -images should as well (read about the vogue magazine with the 10 year girl on the cover). We set these guidelines up for the young at mind but then we SHOW them differently. Beyonce is a role model; she is what some would say a beautiful example of what a black female (woman or girl) should aspire to be. Would a teenager want to be like me or the one on the cover? We must be held accountable for what we give out. I am not bashing famous people but I hope that famous black women (because as a black woman we are on a different level from others) be more conscious of what they put out to our little selves.

i went 8.18 . great show but she was two hrs late , i love her and all but come on now Bey i have to go to work in the morning ( real talk ) . the girl next to me said she did the same concept with the destinys child story line ect. at another show . i was surprised that she didnt change it up for the release of 4 and do something more for that . my sisters favorite song on the album is 1 + 1 ( & so is Beys as she told the audience ) . My sister said she rushed thru the song . She danced her ass of ( but of course ) .
