♫ Lil Wayne – It’s Good (ft. Drake & Jadakiss)
With the digital release of Tha Carter IV set for Sunday following the VMAs, it was only a matter of time before new tracks from Lil Wayne surfaced. The Boi-1da and Matthew Burnett-produced “It’s Good”, featuring Drake and Jadakiss, includes Wayne spitting a comeback (which features a threat to kidnap Beyonce) to Jay-Z’s line on “H*A*M” about baby money:
“Talkin’ ‘bout baby money, I got your baby money/Kidnap your b*tch, Get that ‘how much you love your lady?’ money.”
Following the release of “H*A*M” earlier this year, Lil Wayne told MTV News, “Actually the subject that he’s talking about in that line, I can’t box with the god with that, nah mean. I’ll be the first one to tell you that. Given my wit and the type of person that I am, I’ll capitalize and I’ll play off of it.”
Wayne, who’s nominated for Best Hip-Hop Video and Best Collaboration at the VMAs, will also hit the stage to perform.

Ummm…What? I’m lost right now. I need a translator.
is it just me or does the words on the blog change into all kinds of weird symbols? wats up wit that
Jay Z should had kept gummy smiles (his bi@$%) name out of it… If Jay z can’t even respect his wife; who will….“Go harder than a n-gga for a n-gga go figure
Told me “keep my own money” if we ever did split up
How can somethin’ so gangsta be so pretty in pictures?
With jeans and a blazer and some Louboutin slippers
Uh, Picasso was alive he woulda made her
That’s right n-gga Mona Lisa can’t fade her
I mean Marilyn Monroe, she’s quite nice
But why all the pretty icons always all white
Back to my Beyonces
You deserve three stacks, word to Andre
Call Larry Gagosian, you belong in museums
You belong in vintage clothes watching the whole building
You belong with n-ggas who used to be known for dope dealing
You too dope for any of those civilians
Now, shoo n-gga, stop looking at her tits
Get ya own dog, ya heard
That’s my b-tch”
All that nice stuff and she doesn’t deserve better than “that’s my bitch?” Don’t get me wrong, I believe Jay has the utmost respect and admiration for Beyonce. And I think it’s cool that after years of sending subtle shout-outs her way, he very explicitly praises her this time around. That’s dope; let the youngins know it’s cool to love your wife. But why she gotta be his “bitch?”
Jay has long since been a trendsetter and his influence on youth culture is immeasurable. Please do recall the throwback jersey to button-up shirt transition of the early part of the decade and the virtual disappearance of Cristal after his boycott of the brand. This song isn’t gonna put ‘bitch’ in the mouth of people who weren’t saying it before, but imagine if he said ‘my lady’ or ‘my queen’ or simply ‘my woman’ instead? All these little wannabe rappers would be right behind him.
I doubt that Jay would have released such a song if Beyonce had a problem with it and if that language works for them, I realize that criticism becomes a bit more challenging. I’m just not with any dude using that sort of term for his woman and when your partner has been praised by First Lady Michelle Obama for being a role model for young women and even participated in a national campaign for the youth in conjunction with the White House…perhaps that sort of pet name should remain within the confines of the Knowles-Carter home.
lucifer and jezebel are the real
bonnie and clyde…straight pimping the hell out the music industry and Jay z and Beyonce are the real primary losers….
I hope you don’t mind but I’m going to post your response on every site I go to and I will credit you as the person who wrote this. Thanks again for your insight and your willingness to share it with us. Keep speaking and you’ll keep reaching. Respect to you.
@babycries- excellent comment and insight. Agreed 100%.But let me take it further, we have become so desensitized to rappers using nigga, maybe he’s just trying to get it to where bitch means nothing too.
Love it BABYCRIES! I would like to see the feedback on this one…
Give credit to …I believe Bossip.com I just added a few lines….I am just still waiting for Beyonce to lead the people like Dr.Martin Luther King and for JAY z TO BOW DOWN TO THE REAL THORNE JESUS DID : AND ALIVE FOREVER MORE…Time don’t go back, it go forward
Can’t run from the pain, go towards it
jAY z LOST ONE @upgrade you!
Actually Jay-z is taking a negative word and turning it into something positive. Just like the rappers do with the word “n#gga. So it’s not what you say but the intent behind what you’re saying and whose doing the saying. Clearly Beyonce is no “b#tch” from a negative point of view. However, she’s a bad “b#tch” when it comes to the music industry and how she handles her business. When he says “…But why all the pretty icons always all white” my opinions he’s asking a question why are all the icons white when Beyonce is an icon.
N*gga will never be a positive word and we all know this, people should stopping kidding themselves.
PROPAGANDA! But I doubt that was a shot a Weezy. I honestly hope it’s not, because if it is everyone’s just gonna eat it up. Rap is a game — this is all for publicity.
OMG!!!!! WOW!!!!!!!!SO ELOQUENTLY STATED!!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS RESPONSE BABYCRIES.
LAME!!!!!!
i thought they were cool…i mean he did do mr. carter on carter3…damn jus make music!
Previous bloggers do have a point. But I’m not gonna judge Jay Z for calling HIS WIFE, (emphasis on HIS) whatever he chooses to. HOWEVER when fools like Lil Wayne notice you don’t refer to her with the respect she deserves, they think it’s okay for them to do the same
i so agree
Lil Wayne still cant rap for shit. http://tiny.cc/vl7p1
OMG!!! That was fire!!! How much J love his baby’s money!! Lol, Beyonce did co write upgrade you and was referring to her thug so in order to u[graded it takes money and patience!! Lil Wayne just stated facts so you hating ass folks take that!! Hahahahaa
OH BOY..Here we go..Wayne what were talking about during this rap..why must we guess..lol..
Wayne needs to knock it off already and just sit back and WATCH THE THRONE! Lyrically he cannot see jay, so I hope that he does not want to get a battle out of this. I’m sure he saw how well that went for Nas, and Nas is 20 times better than Wayne!! Lil’ Wayne gets a HO SIT DOWN, for that!
give mad creedit to nas cause he did hit hard with his come backs and other than nas what other rapper lyrically kept up with jay z round for round in any battle or beef

you gotta admit either way it goes wayne did go hard for as the profanity goes and trying to change the menaing of a word i highly doubt is the intent in which they are using it. Lets be realistic about the situation. if either one of sons ever called a girl, or woman a bitch before the grown and out my house its open chest season hands down lol. It is just a matter of respect to woman of all races, sizes, and colors. Using the word nigga, nigger, or negro in any fashion in music these days puts the thought to those who listen to the same music, that they can use the word freely as every rapper does which is not the case by any means. I will admitt that i too use the word and have been trying to stop my self from using it, because how can i criticize those around me from using it when i use it like its an everyday word around them. So instead of trying to change the meaning of words the have held hostile emotions in many people for many years in a racist manor or derogatry fashion we as a people should try and stop using them. not only for us but for the sake of the generations to come after us. It’s time somone took a stand and made a positive change for the future it can start righ here right now and all it takes is just a few.
