Athlete / actor Bubba Smith, best known for his NFL career and for his role in the popular “Police Academy” movies, was found dead Wednesday (August 3) in his Los Angeles home. He was 66.
According to police and coroner’s office officials:
Smith was found at his home on Sunlight Place in Baldwin Hills by a caretaker, police said.
The L.A. County coroner’s office said it has not determined a cause of death, but officials believe he died of natural causes. [ SOURCE: LA TIMES BLOG ]

How sad. I remember watching those movies as a kid. RIP Bubba.

RIP Bubba Smith. “Police Academy” is one of my favorite comedy movies. He will be missed.
My brother and i still laugh at the scene in Police Academy 4 in which
Bubba Smith portrays a crazy rasta trying to scare the new recruits.
