Remember John Allen Williams? The man who carried out those sniper attacks in Virginia, Maryland and Washington D.C? According to a source, former ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ actor/author Isaiah Washington is slated to play the D.C. Sniper in a new film:
Isaiah Washington is set to star in Blue Caprice, a thriller about the sniper attacks that terrorized the Washington DC area in October 2002. Alexandre Moors is directing the project. Washington will play John Allen Williams, who joined the Nation of Islam and changed his surname to Muhammad years before going on a shooting spree with a young accomplice, Lee Boyd Malvo, that took the lives of at least ten people. The pair was caught after the authorities informed the public to look for a former police car. Williams was eventually tried, convicted and executed in 2009. [Source]
No word on who will be playing his accomplice, Lee Boyd Malvo but the film will start shooting sometime next month in New York City. A part of me is wondering why in the world they’re making a movie about this.
As many of you know, John Allen was executed back in 2009 for his crimes and Lee Boyd Malvo is currently serving life in prison.
Pop starlet Rihanna announced some time ago that the Loud era would continue with new music, while on tour. And here’s some concrete proof if it. Check out the reworked version of the Polow Da Don-produced track, “Fading,” from the Barbadian singer’s latest album.
Perhaps this could lead to a rerelease of the album, which fans have been been calling Louder. It wouldn’t come as a surprise, considering that she plans to release a video for the new single, “Cheers” as well as a video for her Nicki Minaj collaborations, “Fly.”
After her performance at the Los Angeles stop of the Rock the Bells music festival, Lauryn Hill sat down with Reebok for their Classic Albums by Classic Artists series. The musician/actress talked about her creative intentions for her classic 1998 album The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill. She also shared why she thinks her album went on to be one of the greatest albums of all time:
“I think that for me, I sort of acted as sort of a bridge between an older generation and a younger generation. And how to put these two musical styles [old school doo-wop & contemporary hip-hop/r&b] together, to build a continuum so there wasn’t so much of a disconnect between the generations. [...] I think I made a piece of music from a sincere place and I think that sincerity has no choice but to resonate with people. I think that my motives were probably in the right place at the right time. And I think it resonated and spoke or represented something for a generation of people who needed that at that time.”
At about 1:51pm EST, an earthquake with a magnitude of 5.9 hit Mineral, Virginia. Luckily no one was badly injured or hurt during the quake. Meanwhile on the other side of the country, Trey Smith, Will Smith’s eldest son, tweeted to the tworld (twitter world) that the rumors of his father and step-mother splitting are…you guessed it – FALSE:
I’m sure Will & Jada probably laughed all morning & afternoon as almost every media outlet talked about their alleged split. The couple released a joint statement saying:
“Although we are reluctant to respond to these types of press reports, the rumors circulating about our relationship are completely false,” the couple said in a joint statement Tuesday. “We are still together, and our marriage is intact.” [Source]
