Robin Thicke has been out of the spotlight for a hot minute! In this new track, “I’m An Animal” the singer-songwriter sings over a 70′s disco-inspired beat and talks about his manly animal instincts. This is the lead single off of his upcoming 5th studio album I’m An Animal. It is said that this new album is expected to drop in late 2011 or early 2012.
I must admit, I found it a little funny for him to literally spell out the phrase ‘I’m An Animal’. Maybe it’s because this song just reminds me of certain scenes from the Austin Powers movies. LOL
GUESS WHO photographer Taj Washington spotted out and about in New York City on Monday afternoon? HiNT: He recently came out of the closet in a new book…
Nick Ashford, half of the legendary musical duo Ashford & Simpson, died Monday (August 22) in a New York City hospital. The Motown singer/songwriter had undergone radiation treatment for throat cancer and was 70 years old.
His former publicist and friend, Liz Rosenberg, broke the news to the Associated Press.
Perhaps best known for the 1984 single “Solid (As a Rock)” with his wife and partner, Valerie Simpson, the duo also wrote some of Motown’s biggest hits including “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough” and “You’re All I Need to Get By”, not to mention a plethora of other hits including “I’m Every Woman”, “Ain’t Nothing Like the Real Thing” and more! The couple, who were married for 38 years, have two daughters.
Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends.
