Pop star Rihanna returned to her hometown to take part in a Kadooment Day parade which was held in Barbados on Monday (August 1).
Sporting a revealing sequin bikini, headdress and red fishnets, the 23-year-old partied it up and showed off her figure as she ran through the pouring rain during the festival.
Info on exactly what Kadooment Day is:
The grand finale to the Crop Over celebration, this public holiday is a summer street carnival where you can watch featured “Kadooment bands” dressed in costumes, designers competing for the Designer of the Year award, and revelers parade by on their way from National Stadium to Spring Garden Highway. You can also join locals and visitors alike in the “jump-up”, a joyous celebration and dance through the streets to calypso music. At Spring Garden, Barbadians continue with the festivities with more music, food, and drinks. Some decide to even take a dip at a nearby beach. Kadooment Day symbolizes and markes the end of the sugar cane harvest.

President Barack Obama speaks in the Rose Garden of the White House on Tuesday, August 2, following Congress’s approval of a compromise to reduce the deficit. The compromise, which cut spending by $2.4 trillion over the next decade and prevented the nation’s first default, is “an important first step to ensuring that as a nation we live within our means,” the President said.
In his speech, President Obama thanked the American people for contacting their elected officials but stressed that both Democrats and Republicans must work together to ensure the nation’s long-term economy and that we’re all in this together.
I’ve said it before; I will say it again: We can’t balance the budget on the backs of the very people who have borne the biggest brunt of this recession. We can’t make it tougher for young people to go to college, or ask seniors to pay more for health care, or ask scientists to give up on promising medical research because we couldn’t close a tax shelter for the most fortunate among us. Everyone is going to have to chip in. It’s only fair. That’s the principle I’ll be fighting for during the next phase of this process.
