Adding to their already full lineup of reality tv, VH1 has picked The June Ambrose Project, a ‘docu-series’ starring celebrity stylist June Ambrose.
A change from typical reality tv shows that simply follows their subjects around as they go about their lives, The June Ambrose Project will follow June and her team as they set about re-branding, and re-imagining the looks of up and coming, and already established celebrity clients.
They might call it a ‘docu-series’ but at the end of the day, it’s a reality show. So of course in between June’s dealings with the her celebrity clients, we’ll be given a glimpse into the stylists family life.
There’s no firm airdate set just yet, but The June Ambrose Project is expected to make it’s television debut during sometime early 2012.
Will you be watching?

Most stylist have their own unique style, in other words, most people think they “look a hot mess” because they are so out there with their styles. This women has been around for quite a while, she is partly responsible for dressing and styling P. Diddy, and Pharrel Williams, two black men who have been on the best dressed list in GQ, so she kinda deserves the “hype”, but this is merely my opinion.
I guess at my age,things like this don’t thrill me. People now days are told who to like…There’s no substance now days,nothing but smoke and mirrors.
I agree with you, but sometimes people deserve recognition when they have been putting in work for quite a while. Unlike people who we now consider style icons, like Amber Rose, Cassie, Rihanna, Kim Kardashian and many others who have not contributed to the african american fashion community.

I’m sorry, I will never consider Kim K and Amber Rose role models and fashion icons, they are hoes, big difference!!! I don’t see them raising money for something like HIV, Sickle Cell, Cancer or anything that help people. All they do is think about sex and nothing else, they are not fashion icons. Now about Rihanna, she heading to a destructive path and fast, someone better talk to that girl quick because she is gonna end up like Kim K and Amber by next year, mark that on the wall and don’t be surprised!! Cassie, I don’t have an issue with her so I can’t say. Cassie is a pretty girl, don’t get me wrong, but her in fashion, no one is paying attention to her so I can’t judge. June outfit is proper, she’s not showing pum pum, she’s not showing her boobs, she is dressing her age, shoot I will even wear that as a 31 year old woman. That is how women should dress, not dressed like Amber and Kim K- WHORES!!!!

I understand that she is the hot celebrity stylist right now; however, I just think that she is more hype than style. We are led to believe that she is this style prodigy and that no one else can do what she does. How much styling can one do. I think that big name celebrities hyped her up knowing that we would believe it. She is one of many people who knows how to mix clothes up to look hot.
I have to say that I am excited about June’s new series. If Rachel Zoe can have a show on bravo surely June should have her time in the reality show spotlight on VH1! Congrats June!
June came a long way. I respect her grind. I remember her since the 90′s. Congratulation. Although I am not big on reality shows, I am glad that it’s somebody with talent & respectable career.
