Nicki Minaj’s wacky sense of style is nothing new to long time fans of the ‘Super Bass’ rapper. Her out there ensembles are food for the fashion soul for some, and leave a lot to be desired for others, but never before could she be accused of being anything other than unique.
That’s not the case anymore. A young designer by the name of Jessica Rogers is accusing Nicki (or Nicki’s stylist) of ripping off her designs.
Jessica, whose fledgling clothing label is called SomedayNewYorker, tells fashion blog Fashionista that the top Nicki wore to the Carolina Herrera fashion show, is a direct ripoff of her work.
She alleges Nicki’s stylists contacted her in the past about using a few of her pieces to dress the rapper, and after she sent them a few items, never heard from them again. Next thing you know, Nicki’s wearing a suspiciously similar top while sitting front row at a major fashion show.
Here’s the real question, WHY would anyone want to knock this off in the first place? To each their own though, and they say style is subjective, so if you like the ‘puff ball’ look, go for it. Jessica’s SomedayNewYorker designs are available for purchase at Sense of Fashion.

I thought that she customized some pieces for her, but when I asked, I was immediately disappointed — my friend did not make them.

But all and all, celebrities that sit on top stay doing this. If it not the designs; it’s the style. They jack steez from all the emerging, creative people. And never give credit where it’s due.

I have to disagree! Yes she has been accussed of stealing other people’s style and no she is not unique at all. The only reason she is getting away with this is because the majority of her fans are children so they don’t know that LIL Kim has done all of this already.
