Menswear for women isn’t anything new on the fashion scene, but lately there’s been a fresh twist on the trend. No longer relegated to the basic slack, or classic button down shirt, the tuxedo is becoming a fast fave among the women of Hollywood when they’re looking to add a splash of masculinity to their wardrobes.
Most recently, Lala Anthony stepped out in a tuxedo inspired look to attend a welcoming party for newlyweds Kim Kardashian and Khris Humphries.
Back in June, actress Tika Sumpter wore a cream, short pants tuxedo look to the 5th Annual Pre-BET Awards Celebration Dinner. She capped off her outfit with black platforms and a sparkly black clutch.
And I know none of us have forgotten BeyoncĂ©’s performance at the 2011 MTV Video Awards. She kept things jazzy as only she can, wearing a purple sequin Dolce & Gabbana tux jacket.

Am I the only who thinks that Lala and Beyonce look dated? I do like the middle girl’s tux, because it looks modern. Lala looks matronly. Beyonce looks old. While the post is about people rocking the look recently, why not mention Janelle Monae since she looks just as good IF NOT better than Beyonce and Lala in her tuxedo.
