Tracee Ellis Ross covers the new issue of JET (available on newsstands October 10). In the cover story, “Our Girlfriend Is Back”, the actress speaks on her new series, BET’S Reed Between the Lines, which premieres Tues., Oct. 11 at 10 ET, and more. Ross, who also produces the show, stars as therapist Carla Reed and says she was drawn to the project:
“The world of self-help and self-awareness has always been of great interest to me. I welcomed the opportunity to introduce, through comedy, this idea of therapy, which has been this ‘hush hush’ thing in our culture.”
Check out a sneak peek of Reed Between the Lines with Tracee and her fellow producer and co-star Malcom-Jamal Warner below.

I adore this woman, beautiful and classy, she highly underrated as an actress….it’s a shame she was never nominated for an Emmy, for playing Joan Clayton
I so agree. I just hope BET puts alot of advertising into this show and Tracie is so right about therapy being hush hush among among the black community.
Yeah, and I hope BET doesn’t put too much restriction on the scripts, because you know how they are,and she’s absolutely right about black people and therapy,we tend to thick that we will be viewed as insane for going to therapy

She is so excited about this project. Glad to see producer behind both Tracee & Malcolm’s name. Malcolm hasn’t really done anything I’m proud of since Cosby Show. This may be the show..
This looks so promising! I love her! She is such a classy female and talented.
I can’t wait for the new show to start. Hopefully, they’ll have interesting topics, good acting, & overall a show that the entire family can watch for a change.
Looks like a very interesting show. I’ll be checking this show out on October 11, 2011. Its great to see positive African-American images on televison.
