‘ROUND THE WAY: LEBRON SPEAKS ON MONEY + NEW McDONALD’S COMMERCIAL

Lebron James gets in on the joke for the prediction he made of winning eight championships after signing with the Miami Heat last year in a new commercial for McDonald’s.

Set to hit TV screens on Monday, the 30-second spot for the fast food chain’s Monopoly game features James interrupting the announcer with “Aw, come on man,” as he asks the odds of James winning seven NBA championships.

In a recent interview with The Talks, Lebron shared his thoughts on growing up poor and then having a multimillion dollar contract:

My grandmother taught me before she passed away, ‘The good things come to the guys who are patient, who are patient and thankful for what they have in front of them.’ I’ll never forget that. Continue

TV BIT: BEYONCE TALKS PREGNANCY w/ 106 & PARK – ‘THERE’S NOTHING MORE SWAG.’

Earlier this week, Beyonce stopped by BET’s 106th & Park and chatted it up with co-host Terrance J. In the two part interview, the entertainer talked about the warmth and sensuality of her new fragrance, Pulse and of course, her excitement about finally becoming a mother:

I think it’s the most empowering thing i’ve ever experienced in my life. I feel so fortunate and I’m the happiest I’ve ever been. I was more nervous a couple months ago. Now I’m just, I fell lucky. There’s nothing more swag than being a mother.

NEWS: R&B SINGER VESTA WILLIAMS HAS DIED AT 53

Vesta Williams, who scored a number of hits on the R&B charts in the mid-1980s and early 1990s, was found dead in a Los Angeles hotel room on Thursday, Sept. 22. She was 53.

Perhaps best known for her Hot 100 single “Congratulations”, Vesta also had a recurring role on Sister Sister as Monica, Lisa’s best friend.

Details surrounding the singer’s death remain limited at this time, but Vesta performed at last weekend’s Autumn Jazz Explosion in Portsmouth, Va. Performance video of “Congratulations” is below.
